Baby Jogger City Select 2 Second Seat Kit (Lunar Black)

I'm just as disappointed as others. We specifically purchased the Baby Jogger City Select 2 stroller in 2023 with the intentions of expanding it. We now have a toddler and a newborn and we're unable to expand the stroller. I'm extremely disappointed in this product.

I’m extremely upset. We are getting ready to welcome our second baby and I wanted to buy the attachment to make the stroller hold by toddler and new baby and realize I can’t even buy the proper attachments. I got This stroller specifically for the ability to expand for next baby and now it is trash. This is unbelievable. False advertising.

I was similarly disappointed and frustrated by the inability to expand my City Select Lux stroller after our family expanded. I’m sure it’s not recommended by Baby Jogger – they would rather you buy an entirely new stroller system – but I was able to acquire select Lux ADAPTERS and this seat works as long as you have the correct adapters.

I bought our Baby Jogger City Select in peacoat blue in 2021 to use with our first baby, thinking that we would e able to buy a second seat when the time came for baby #2. I am extremely disappointed that the second seat is no longer available in peacoat blue and will be purchasing another stroller from a different company. I get asked for baby product recommendations from my friends and family all the time and I do NOT recommend baby jogger.

We bought our City select lux because it gave the option to use the stroller for a longer period and had a second sit, bench sit etc. add-ons available. Considering we were planning to have a 2nd kid, we thought it was a good investment. But suddenly they decided not to carry the City Select Lux anymore, and the second seat or none of the other accessories are not interchangeable with the older models. This is unacceptable, this is not a 10year old model we are talking about. I bought this stroller 2 years ago with promotions that this can be used 5-6 years. Clearly I can not use it 5 years, if I am not able to buy any additions I need for it. If you discontinue a product, at least make adopters that are interchangeable and allows the new seats to be used on the older models. When you make product decisions, you need to consider aftermarket implications too. It is not customer friendly to leave thousands of customers who bought your product, and this is not a cheap product, one of the relatively expensive items in the market, without an option. $500 went to trash, and I am now forced to spend even more to get a double stroller.

I have a city select Lux that was a big investment. I am in need of a second seat and they are no longer available such a short time later. It seems intentional that the seats were changed in an attempt To get the consumer to purchase a whole new stroller when in need of a second seat.

I bought the City Select Lux stroller back in 2021 with the sole purpose of buying a second seat as our family grew. Right off the bat I realized I was unable to purchase a snack tray that was compatible with the Lux which was frustrating but manageable. Now as I am pregnant with our second child, I come to realize I can no longer buy a second seat for our already expensive stroller? Very frustrated with this company and will not buy again.

We love our city select lux stroller but now that our family is expanding we find we cannot get a second seat kit that fits our stroller. We did so much research and specifically picked this stroller so we could add a second seat. It was not a cheap investment that should sell accessories even after the new models come out. I’m very disappointed

We just added a second child to our family and when we came online to purchase a second seat for our city select we discovered they were discontinued! What a waste!!! Should have gotten the uppababy Vista. We are extremely disappointed that our stroller will ve essentially useless past the infant stage of our second baby.

Seems I’ve found my answer from the other disappointing reviews and I’ll stop looking. I’ve had the City Select Lux for just over a year and now that we’ve grown our family and I want to expand my stroller, I can’t. This is horrible customer service and product creation. I will not be recommending this stroller any longer. I truly wish I would’ve paid the little extra for the UppaBaby to not be in this position.

Don't purchase this seat NOR the stroller! They changed the design 1 year after we purchased the stroller and now won't sell replacement parts for it. This won't fit older models. Don't trust this company. AVOID or you'll be sorry.

Like many other reviewers we too bought the original City Select with plans of purchasing a second seat, then found out it was discontinued. I wish the City Select 2 option would be compatible for the original, but it is not. I am incredibly disappointed in this company and would not recommend purchasing from them.

We bought a city select stroller in 2021 for our first born. our second born just came along and we do not have an option to add a second seat for her because this is completely incompatible. We completely wasted our money and should have gone with a different brand that actually supports their products. I can't say we will ever buy a baby jogger or recommend a baby jogger to anyone ever again. In fact, on quite the contrary I would recommend AGAINST purchasing a baby jogger city select 2 because by the time you have a second child they will likely discontinue it and make you purchase an all new city select 3. Completely ridiculous.

I bought the City Jogger City Select LUX in August after many months of research on the best strollers with the capability to “grow with your family.” Now, less than three years later and expecting our second child I can no longer buy the second seat. Needless to say I am infuriated. I totally understand upgrading products, but to completely stop making a version that is LESS THAN 3 YEARS OLD is beyond me. I will never recommend this brand which is extremely disappointing because we love our stroller. This is not an inexpensive brand and I expect so much more from them.

I bought my baby jogger city select in 2020. Now 2.5-3 years later we need a second seat for our next child and I cannot find one. I’m furious because I spent $900 on the entire system including the carrier seat etc. and now I need a whole new stroller system. We knew we should’ve gone with the Uppa Baby vista. This is insane

The main reason I bought this stroller was so that it could expand while our family does. Went ahead and purchased based on the previous review that these seats fit the old City Select model and it works! The alternative was buying a used seat and attachments which would have cost more than this new one, so I figured it was worth a try. It may not be a perfect arrangement compared to the original model, but it will definitely work for us! I do find it frustrating that City Select made this such an unclear process. I saw so many reviews from people like me who purchased this stroller in 2020 and have LOVED it, but have been disappointed to find that the second seat was seemingly unavailable for expanding families.

i am another extremely disappointed customer who intentionally invested in the city select LUX because of its flexibility to go from a single to double in multiple ways. this feels like a scam to have been sold this expensive stroller and not be able to find the second seat kit anywhere. that was the primary reason we bought this stroller. we are pregnant with our second now and faced with the option of selling our almost brand new stroller for a different model or....i actually don't know what any other options would be.

I bought the baby jogger late 2019 for my first child, figuring if I had a second child I could buy an extra seat as needed. Well, my second child is now too big for the baby seat so I came on to buy the second child seat and just realized they changed the entire formulation of the attachments so you can not fit the new seats on the past generation of strollers! If I had known they were going to do this I would have bought from another brand. I know for example other brands make sure older models work with newer attachments. Do not buy this brand. Because if you do they will probably switch everything up in a year and you’ll have to buy all new products. Now I have no idea what we will do. I’m not spending hundreds of dollars on a brand new stroller! Frustrating!

We just bought our city select Lux stroller back in 2021. Now we have a second child and can’t add the second seat because they do not have anything compatible to the stroller. The company should at least make the new products compatible to the existing products for people who may need parts/accessories.

I purchased the city select thinking it would be able to grow with my family. My youngest is getting ready to be out of the infant seat and in to a convertible car seat. I am very disappointed that I can no longer find the second seat that will work with my stroller. I invested in a city select thinking I would be able to use it as our family grew.

We bought the City Select at the end of 2020, we were so excited the stroller had the option to grow with our family. Before purchasing the stroller I reached out to Customer Service to confirm that accessory seats would be available in the future, even if an additional version of the stroller was released. The representative who responded to my email assured me that any future versions of the stroller would be compatible with the original or we would be able to get accessories designed for the original, unfortunately, that is NOT the case and we cannot find a second seat for our stroller anywhere. Very disappointed at the misinformation provided by the company. The stroller itself works great, just wouldn't recommend this brand because of all the changes.

I am SO ANNOYED that this 2nd seat is not compatible with the original city select stroller. Like many others, I invested in my city select stroller in 2020 with plans of it growing with my family. I would have NEVER bought this stroller for that amount of money if it didn’t have the option to turn into a double stroller… which is now the case. So disappointed.

This second seat conversion kit is not compatible with my City Select stroller which I haven't even owned for a year and a half yet! This is completely ridiculous. Baby Jogger, what in the world are you doing by not having a conversion kit for the City Select (1? apparently) that I bought LAST YEAR?! I got the City Select stroller on the recommendation of a friend, but at this point majorly regret not going with a different brand. One of the selling factors was that it was a single stroller that was able to convert into a double stroller, which we knew we would need as we planned on having more than one child. What are we supposed to do now after spending hundreds of dollars on a stroller that we thought would fit our family for the long-haul, that apparently is not able to deliver on the promises it made in its advertising?

We bought our City Select LAST year (2021) and we’re completely unaware that they would be changing the model. As I started looking for the 2nd attachment and seat for our next child, I discovered we will be unable to add a stroller attachment for our 2nd child.

This is incredibly frustrating. Like others, I am in need of a second seat for an original City Select Baby Jogger model. My stroller is not even two years old and I'm shocked that their are no compatible options for a second seat available. We love our stroller and wish we had an option for a second seat.

I, like many others am so disappointed to find out that I am no longer able to purchase a second seat for my City Jogger. I was graciously gifted this off of my registry in 2021 by my brother and now when we are looking to expand our family I am going to have to pay more money for another stroller when this was supposed to be our one stroller. I went with this vs the Mockingbird or Uppababy because it was in our price range, but I should have splurged because now I am going to have to shell out money anyway.

I did see some reviews that said it actually does fit in the original City Select, but I ended up being able to buy and entire Graco double stroller for the price of just this second seat that may or may not fit.

As all of the other one star reviews have stated, I too purchased the City Select stroller with the intention of expanding our family rather quickly - why else would you need a double stroller? We now are the proud parents of two children, a newborn and two year old, as well as the upset owners of the largest and heaviest single stroller possible. To add insult to injury, the wheels on our stroller often rattle, shaking the entire frame as we go for our walks. Definitely not recommending to and future mothers, friends or foe.

I like so many others never would have purchased the city select Lux if I knew you were changing the model and I wouldn't be able to add the 2nd seat. This was one of the only reasons I purchased this brand over the Uppa Baby and others. We invested in this stroller. Now I can’t even add a second seat to our growing family? Or find it being sold anywhere. I also can’t believe another type isn’t convertible with it. My sister has the same issue, and I regret recommending this strolller. Apparently I’m not the only one extremely disappointed in this company. We got our city select lux over a year ago and now thinking of expanding our family so we started looking for a second seat and they apparently don’t sell it? We did so much research on this stroller and spent so much money on it. I wish we would’ve just gone with the uppa baby vista. How can you not sell the accessories for previous models? I totally get making upgrades with new features but there should be a way that we can still use our lux with the newer version of the second seat OR they need to make the older version accessories. I had my first child in May 2021. After careful consideration, we decided to go with the Baby Jogger City Select system for our baby, mainly because of its ability to expand and add another seat if we chose to grow our family. Less than a year and a half later, I am expecting again and I am EXTREMELY disappointed to find out that the city select 2nd seat attachments have been discontinued. I understand you released the city select 2 the summer of 2021, but to go ahead and eliminate all items compatible with the city select so quickly is HORRIBLE. Do you know how many families spent SO much money on your travel systems just for them now to be useless less than a year and a half later? I am VERY hesitant to ever buy a product from you again, with the fear of it being discontinued again. Without any sort of deal for the families with a City Select model, I will forced to invest my money elsewhere.

I bought this item last year to prepare for the birth of my second child and the fabric portion of the seat came however the frame for the seat did not. I’m very frustrated, since we’re supposed to be taking a trip soon and I have a useless seat over without a frame!

Now the time has come, literally not even 2 full years later, and they don’t sell the seat anymore? And didn’t make this seat compatible with the regular city select? I’ll never purchase anything from this company again.

SO upset! We invested almost $1k in the Lux double stroller with all the attachment and extras; I need to buy replacement parts to use for my third, come to find out, it’s out of stock and probably discontinued and the newer models are now incompatible. I checked second hand sites and the adapters I need are $150!!! Normally $30…so insane…such a shame

Bought the City Select in Nov 2020 for my first child in hopes we would be able to expand our family. I would have never thought to buy the second seat at the arrival of my first child because - pregnancy isn't always guaranteed. Great news, we are expecting again after many months of waiting! Incredibly disappointed this seat is not compatible with my $400+ stroller. Sunset operations go beyond internal processes - why weren't folks notified? Baby Jogger could have reviewed the safety registration card roster and sent a form of notification.

Bought this in 2020 and only was using for my one child, I was told I was able to get a second seat if I ever needed to use as a double stroller, I’m really upset they no longer have an option even available for this expensive stroller I bought as I now have a second kid.

I love this stroller I had my daughter in 2019 and we are now looking for a second seat and they don’t sell them anymore.. We’ve had to buy another double stroller that I hate because the thought of spending $800 on the new model makes me cringe. We live overseas due to being in the military and it’s very hard to get a great double stroller here. I love this product I wish I could get the second seat. It’s so extremely disappointing that they don’t sell replacement parts or the new stuff in the old colors that would be compatible with the old city select. I would not recommend baby jogger specifically because of this and am NOT recommending baby jogger or the city select to any of my friends.

Great stroller which we've used for two years but now, I'm learning this model is discontinued and there's not an option to purchase a second seat. This is incredibly disappointing as we've only had this expensive stroller for two years. Cannot recommend this model or company for this reason.

It’s a little difficult to fold the stroller with both seats on it but very easy to assemble in the first try

I panicked when I saw all the reviews about this item only being compatible with the City Select 2. However, I called customer service and they took care of it! They sold me the adapter for the original for a very reasonable price. I did wait on hold a few minutes, but it was worth it to get the right part.

Great quality, we’ve loved this stroller for 10 years. Just had to update the seat for our new baby. Love the green fabric.

I’ve been using my City Select 2 daily for the last 6 months, and I’m absolutely in love with it. It is so easy to manipulate the infant car seat and the forward or back facing seat. The material is very nice, and the storage basket is enormous. I love how durable this stroller is; however, I’m only 4’11”, so it takes quite a bit of effort to fold and put in the back of my SUV. I would buy this stroller again in a heartbeat, and I recommend it to all my friends.

Similar to others, we purchased a city select in 2022 with the plans to expand to a double stroller in the future. The seat is no longer compatible with the stroller we have and it’s impossible to find the correct adapters. We are very disappointed.

Truly cannot believe we’re unable to purchase another attachment for something we purchased less than two years ago. Basically renders our stroller useless now that our second has grown out of his infant car seat.

After reading other reviews, it appears I have the dreaded answer, that the City Select 2 second seat and attachment does not work for the original City Select. I purchased my City Select in 2020 for my first child and just had my second. I purchased this stroller system to grow with my family. I came to purchase the second seat and cannot find it ANYWHERE. This is SO frustrating and disappointing as we have the whole system and 2 carseats. Customer service hasn't responded in 3 days. It looks like I will never be purchasing anything else from this company and now have to find a whole new stroller system while juggling my toddler and newborn. This such a let down.

There's no compatibility with the Baby Jogger City Select LUX and it's impossible to get in touch with customer service. They expect us to buy an entire new stroller for this?! How can this company be so unhelpful.

The only seat available is not compatible and only fits a new stroller version of city select 2. I can’t find anywhere to buy the additional seat and adapter for my city select lux stroller model, and that was the intention of the purchase at that time. I’m at a loss that this company doesn’t sell parts to previous models when they advertise the ability to expand the stroller with add-ons.

I am in the works of putting together a lawsuit against this company. Friends pullled together and purchased a $600 plus city select v1. And here I am 1 year later purchasing the second seat and it is not compatible. Please contact me if you want to be part of this lawsuit m. It is deceptive marketing.

We went to purchase a second seat only to find that they no longer sell them. The only reason I bought this stroller was so that it could expand while our family does. I have 19 nieces and nephews and have told all not to purchase this stroller because in a year they will change and sell something else and you won’t be able to get accessories. Wasted a lot of money because now I have to purchase another stroller. Overall I love the stroller.

Terrible design, the infant car seat design for twins could crush one of the babies legs or feet. The car seats get stuck when trying to pull them out half the time.

As most parents, I TOO, have purchased a city select in the previous model. I’m LOYAL TO CITY JOGGER! INVESTING MONEY INTO THIS PRODUCT EXPECTING IT WILL GROW WITH US, This is my third CITY JOGGER stroller, starting with my first child back in 2010! Now I’m on my sixth child, AND CANNOT FIND THE SECOND SEAT FOR THE PREVIOUS MODEL OF CITY SELECT. IM SO DISAPPOINTED!!

Why would you not have a second seat that also fits in the original baby jogger only 2 years later… I have contacted the company and have not heard back

The stroller is incredibly expensive and slowly becoming obsolete as the company is discontinuing the replacement parts and accessories. Our reclining button came off somehow, and by the time we noticed, have no idea when/where/how it happened. The company discontinued the replacement piece! Our only option is to purchase an entirely new second seat kit. I ordered through customer service and it came as JUST the fabric. It has been several weeks since I first reached out to customer service. The process is NOT quick, with them only seeming to respond to emails one time per day.

We bought our City Select stroller in 2020/2021. I read reviews that the second seat for the City Select 2.0 didn't fit with the old frame, but thankfully it does. You have to figure out the seating/hood arrangements a little, as some combinations seemed cramped in terms of leg room, but it does fit! We were even able to fit the seat on with our Cybex Aton 2 car seat. The second seat kit comes with the extenders, so you don't have to buy it separately. They click in just above the front wheels. My only criticism (and it's a minor one compared to paying 100s of dollars for a new double stroller) is that our original stroller is black and the new seat is gray.

We got a City select stroller for our shower back in March 2021 and now we have a second baby and will need a second seat and they are discontinued. Very disappointed and frustrated….a waste of money on such an expensive stroller. We had high hopes for this lasting us years

Very easy to install and love the color, would highly recommend
