So much fun it doesn't feel like school!
THe perfect game to play with my kindergarten granddaughter on "lockdown" It's just like the one Mrs. Braasch has Mimi!
I would buy this again.
I am an Elementary Special Ed. Teacher. I am altering some of the rules, the Snatch It Up is a bit aggressive and we end up just taking turns. Plus, it allows everyone to find words at their own rate. The children like reading the words and recognizing word families and love counting their words to see who has the most.
I would recommend this game.
This is a fun way for first and second grade students to review word families. It would also work for struggling third grade students. Any kind of game-based method is more engaging than flash cards or worksheets
Love this game!
My second grade CCR students love this game. We have altered the rules a little to give the kids a chance to make words. They taught there regular classmates how to play as well. They liked it so much I bought it for their classroom as well.
I would recommend
I haven't used these yet but I think they are going to be great. My son is non verbal and I'm hoping these will help him not only with his spelling but also say them aloud.

Very useful in teaching phonics.
Children love this fast-paced game!
I first choose short-vowel word families for very beginning readers and play only with those. I use it to make quick-recognition of phonics words fun and exciting. Kids can't resist this very fast-paced game, but it is important for young children to use only the letter combinations they know or have learned to sound out. If you start with the whole pack for emerging readers, they may become frustrated at being slow. I am teaching 6 and 10-year-olds and both get so excited with this game!
