DaVinci Toddler Bed Kit – Converts crib to toddler bed (Espresso)
The DaVinci M3199 Toddler Bed Conversion Kit transforms a full-size crib into a toddler bed, extending the use of convertible cribs. It is crafted from 100% sustainable New Zealand pine wood and is compatible with various daVinci and Carters by daVinci crib models. The kit includes a single guard rail that replaces the crib's front panel; dimensions are 53" L x 15" W x 2" H and it weighs 5 lb. User reviews note that assembly can be challenging due to vague instructions and that the low rail height may not prevent older toddlers from climbing out, so supervision is recommended.

Positive experience with DaVinci full-size bed conversion, toddler kit mentioned
We converted our DaVinci crib to the toddler bed using the official kit and it was super easy. The espresso color matched perfectly. Definitely recommend.

Confusion over single rail vs. two pieces and safety worry
I bought the DaVinci toddler conversion kit for my Kalani crib. The instructions are garbage. It’s just one long rail, not two separate pieces. Once installed my toddler leaned over it and I panicked because it’s so low. That guard rail is a joke.

Tip to buy conversion kit early due to supply issues and included hardware clarification
If you have a DaVinci crib, buy the conversion kit now while it’s in stock. I waited and had to hunt for it. Also, the kit only comes with the short screws; you need to reuse the long bolts from the crib. Would have been nice if they included everything.

Step-by-step conversion of DaVinci Autumn crib with tight screws and low rail concern
Converting the DaVinci Autumn to toddler bed: you just remove the front panel and attach the conversion rail. The screws were tight but I got it. However, my 2-year-old can almost climb over the side because the rail is so short. I’m rethinking this design.

Comparison of DaVinci vs. IKEA cribs and hardware missing issue
We went with the DaVinci crib for style but I regret not getting the IKEA one. The DaVinci conversion kit didn’t even come with the correct screws. I had to go to Home Depot. If you’re debating, IKEA is simpler.
