The Toddleroo Easy Swing & Lock Gate (Series 2, model 5050) is a hardware-mounted metal safety gate designed to restrict access at the top of stairs, in doorways and hallways. It is steel construction with a matte bronze finish, 31" tall, fits openings 28.68"–47.85" wide, has 2.5" spacing between vertical bars, a no-threshold design, selectable swing direction (swing control), and a one-hand press-and-lift childproof latch; package contents include mounting screws, hinges, upper and lower latches, an allen wrench, a template and a swing-control pick. The gate must be mounted to a solid surface or wooden stud (not recommended for drywall anchors), does not auto-close and must be closed manually, and is certified to Baby Safety Alliance and ASTM standards; made in China.

- The Easy Swing and Lock Gate does not have an auto-close feature and needs to be manually closed, as indicated in the instruction manual. If the gate is frequently slammed or closed using something other than your hand, the spring inside the upper latch may become dislodged. This can cause the latch to stop functioning properly. To prevent this issue, always close the gate gently and manually. If needed, replacement latches can be ordered directly on our website by searching with the 4-digit model number of the product.
- Do you make an adapter that will let me mount Model 5050 as a pressure-mounted gate so I do not have to drill holes in my wall?
- We do not manufacture an adapter to alter the way our hardware mounted gates install. All of our Hardware-Mounted Baby Gates must be attached directly to a solid surface such as a wooden stud. This will require drilling holes into the surface.

- Our Hardware-Mounted Baby Gates should not be installed using anchors.
