Experience with RideSafer vest for a 3-year-old during travel
We used the RideSafer for our 3-year-old on a trip and it was a lifesaver for taxis and shuttles. However, she kept slouching and trying to lean forward, and it didn't seem very safe. I probably wouldn't use it for everyday, but for travel it's convenient. Also, check fit carefully — even though she met the weight minimum, the vest was a bit loose.

Trying the Ride Safe vest for a toddler and comparison with Bubble Bum
Has anyone tried the Ride Safe vest? We got an extra large black one for our 5-year-old. It's been great for carpooling and occasional trips — way easier than lugging a full seat. The Bubble Bum didn't work well for us, but the vest fits better and positions the belt correctly. I wish it had more side padding though.

Packing the RideSafer travel vest for one-bag travel
I'm obsessed with my RideSafer vest for one-bag travel. It folds up smaller than a laptop and fits in my backpack. I use it for Ubers and rental cars. It's not approved for airplane seats so my kid just uses the regular lap belt in-flight, then we use the vest on the ground. So liberating not dragging a car seat through the airport!
