Should I splurge on a Mamaroo?
I love it and my first love it too... It's nice a simple and easy to move around. The only thing is that it doesn't swing as fast as a swing but it was enough for us. Bought mine used; couldn't think of spending the new cost... The Mamaroo Smart Swing has Bluetooth connectivity, app control, and multiple motions that mimic parent movements. Some parents find the smart features handy, while others prefer the older version without Bluetooth.

I don’t know what we would do without ours, little man sleeps in it during the day and we spend a lot of time playing in it during the day as well! It is definitely pricey, but well worth it for us! ... It’s hit and miss to be honest, and it’s a pricey hit and miss so I’d recommend secondhand. My first hated it. My little guy now doesn’t mind it... We’re having some well known mechanical issues with it though and I’m not super impressed considering the price.

Both serve 2 very different purposes! Definitely do both if you can! You won't be able to haul the swing around the house like you can a bouncer! ... My MIL bought us the mamaroo for this baby as a gift... worked in an NICU where we had a few and found it a lifesaver for some of those babies, however as with everything some babies didn’t like it either. ... I agree that if choosing between the two, a bouncer is the more practical option.
