Sit-in walkers slow development and are dangerous
A push walker (like a trolley or wagon) is useful when they are starting to walk. But the kind they sit in is not. ... the sit in kind will slow development like the article says - they basically are classified as a container. So if baby is in them once a blue moon for 5-10mins, no issue. If a baby is put in them for 30-60-90mins daily it will likely delay normal gross motor development... they can also add abnormal forces to their developing hips (increases risk of hip dysplasia) and many, many babies are injuries walking a walker somewhere they shouldn't (down stairs, into animals or objects etc)

Safety 1st walker advised against due to safety hazards
Drop the walker. They are not recommended for use at all anymore (and are even banned from sale or import in Canada). It isn't preparing him for walking, and is a safety hazard.
