New Chicco KeyFit Infant Car Seat and Base (Encore)

This car seat is very easy to adjust and put in an out of the car. It connects well with the stroller as well and is lightweight but sturdy easy to clean.

Excellent car seat. This is the second car seat of the same kind. First one worked great until it has expired.

We purchased this car seat because we were planning to foster and adopt an infant. A few days before bringing her home from the NICU we found out that a fictive kin placement was going to be taking her home instead of us. We were happy for her, but our hearts were still shattered. After a few days of grieving, we had to start returning all of the things we had bought for her, including this car seat. Chicco requires that you pay return shipping. It was $70 to return the car seat. The car seat only cost $130. So we’re only getting back half of what we paid. This product was unused and still in original packaging. Very disappointed and will not risk ordering anything from them online again.

Love that this car seat is light weight, easy to use and safe. We especially love how easy it is to move the base using the quick release latch system.

Worst infant car seat I have ever owned. The harness bucket is cheap and half of the time does clip shut. Opening that same bucket is also difficult which is ironic because as I just stated it is difficult to close so you can’t win. The visor is flimsy and cheaply made. No structure or real shape. And finally I’m not sure if it is a new safety feature but in order to release the grab bar you have to engage the buttons on both sides. When I am holding my infant, about to place her inside, how am I suppose to push on both sides when I have only one free hand? I loved the Chicco KeyFit2 that I owed but unfortunately expired which led me to purchasing this one and I regret doing so. Unfortunately I can’t return this car seat. And to top it off the 2 based I already owned aren’t compatible with the car seat. Absolute waste.

Great car seat. We purchased for use with one of the jogging strollers and our extra vehicle. Works great.

Bought this for my preemie grandson. Very easy to install and secure baby. The accompanying stroller is a must-have when lugging baby to all those dr appointments!

Haven’t used it yet but very sturdy and the material is very good love the soft inside would recommend for new moms will upload a picture when my little one arrive

This review is a long time overdue. When my child (who is almost 4 now!) was seven months old, I was crossing the street and we got hit by a car. The car hit the stroller and she, in the car seat went flying in the air and landed ten feet away. The stroller was crushed. Blood was pouring out of her mouth. She immediately went to UCSF children’s hospital to get a craniotomy because her brain had started hemorrhaging. In the end, the surgeons and doctors saved her life but it was touch and go for a while. My husband and I are convinced that the car seat saved her life. We are forever loyal and grateful to this brand for helping to protect our girl.

I really liked the car seat, my only complaint is the fabric isn’t breathable my baby sweats a lot in it. I’m trying to figure out what my beat option is.

I bought this for my daughter and it was the best choice! Extremely easy to install. Compact compared to other car seats so, they fit better in smaller cars. Great prints as well. I wouldn’t buy any other car seat. Absolutely recommend this product.

This was my 1st purchase of my researched for the baby list. I looked at every one on the market and the reviews all had this as the top rated seat. They were very right! My daughter loves this seat and it remained a staple with her until she outgrew it. I’ve had to use other seats while renting vehicles & this by far is the best one on the market.

This is a review I never wanted to have experience to leave, but after enduring a devastating car accident that shattered windows on impact, deployed all air bags, and totalled my car with my 8 month old in it I can say this carseat does it's job. My daughter came out uninjured (thank God!), and has not even shown signs of soreness or being stiff. Added bonus to its incredible performance is ease of use and care, and attention to detail. We are Chicco customers for life now. Thank you!

The unthinkable happened. I had my two babies in the car. My 2 1/2 year old was forward facing in his chicco nextfit and my 6 month old in her chicco keyfit. A car came out of nowhere in front of us and we crashed into them. Our airbags deployed and our truck was totaled. Our babies however, were unscathed. Before, I bought chicco because they were soft and incredibly comfortable. I liked the ease of use with them and their excellent reviews. Now, I am buying two new chicco car seats because I know they will keep my children safe.

I did lots of research before buying a car seat for our child, and this one was the best option! Our child is comfortable in it as well. We’ve had it a year and it still looks brand new, even after several trips to the park, airport, grocery store and many other places. Easy to install with the base, and easy to use without a base (although the base is SO convenient). No issues whatsoever. Definitely recommend!

We bought this car seat for my daughter in September 2017 when she was born and it is my favorite car seat to date! I purchased another (cheaper) Graco car seat for my husbands truck and we just ended up buying another base for this one because it was so much better than the other. It is a very comfy car seat and grows with the baby with the removable pads. It is very easy to wash and keep beautiful. The fabric is also very stain resistant. I would recommend this car seat to every one I meet! We are having another baby soon and I plan to keep using the car seat for him/her!

I owned my original keyfit for 4 years. I got it with my forst daughter and used it for my next 2. I only got rid of it because it expired, but this product is worth the cost and will last if taken care of. I washed and cleaned this careseat regularly. I bought the convertable chicco and love it just as much.

We have absolutely loved our Chicco! My in-laws purchased this seat for our son, and we were blown away at the ease of installation and transition from the car to the Keyfit Caddy stroller! I recommend it to all of my friends!

We love this car seat! It's highly rated (#1 from what we found), it's easy to put into the car, it looks great (the black material has a subtle pattern that makes it look really rich) and it's a good price. All things considered, I would recommend this seat to anyone. You won't be disappointed.
