Good pet gate to keep dogs out of the basement

I have a mesh safety gate but it needs both hands to open, which is a lot of hassle. This metal gate is much more convenient when I am holding the baby in one arm. The gate fit my small door and came with two extender in different length for wider doors. The wall mount option was very easy to install tho I had to use the drill option as it was safer for stairs. It opened both ways and was very sturdy.

This gate is well made, and is very simple to put together. I took me a total of 3 minutes to put it up. I really like that the height is high enough to prevent my dog from jumping over. My dog is rather athletic, and she surprises me. However, after a week of use she still has not been able to get over. The locking mechanism is simple for humans, but confuses dogs.

I bought this because my grandson will be born next week and I havent had to childproof in many years. For now I am using it to keep my dog out of the kitchen because she is a pain in the rear when I am trying to cook. It was very easy to install. Usually I try to do this stuff, make a mess, do it wrong and then one of my daughters or husband has to fix whatever I did, but I had no problems with it. It is attractive enough and does not look like it will chip the color off. It was easy to open with one hand, which isnt a huge deal right now, but I can see the benefit of that when I would be carrying a baby around. It was reasonably priced and seems sturdy. My dog is a puggle and she is fat and food driven so she does want to get through and...

The reason why i purchased this gate was to keep my new puppy from going into the carpeted bedroom. It works great. The set up was easy, the gate fits well inside the doorway. We didnt have any scratches or anything while installing. There are a lot of different baby gates out there, so i was looking at reviews before i bought this one and i agree with all the high reviews.

I really love this gate, I have been wanting to get a safety gate for our upstairs and I am glad that I got this!!! Instructions were easy to understand and it was not difficult to put together. Very well made with high quality parts and finish. The handle opens and closes easily to unlock and lock the door in the gate. The gate works great for our 10 month baby, to prevent going to the other side of the house. The lock is very safe (even for some adults lol).

I ordered this gate to stop my child from going up and down the stairs. The gate is sturdy, fixed well and doesn't move at all. There are no small parts to the gate that might be dangerous . After putting this gate I am relaxed and know my child is protected .The packaging was great when I received the gate.

This is so sturdy, its working great for our Hulk of a baby boy as well as our two big dogs! Its a nice strong barrier and tall enough to not be crawled over or jump over. I'm super pleased with it, considering buying another for my mom's house!

The baby gate was easy to install and came with the adjustments needed to make it a perfect fit. It came with 2 installation options, and we decided to use the pressure option to secure it instead of bolting it in so we can move it to different areas as needed.

This baby gate is portable and reasonably simple to install. We were able to install the no less than 10 mins. Installation didn't require any tools. We have installed on lower entrance of stairs. Our stairs is of white color and this, we bought white color gate. Gate apparently has auto lock system. This gate has a feature of Walk-Thru Swing Door. Door swings in both directions. Although there is a auto-lock feature, however, If I open the gate for widely, it would stay open. Material of baby gate is made of steel. Gate closing or opening cannot be operated by our toddlers. We are planning to have a pet. We are thinking this gate will be very useful when we have a pet as well.

A must have for the people who have kids or pets. The gate is well designed and well made. its tall enough to prevent jump around for kids and pets.

We badly need this gate...not for a baby but for our dog. He sheds a lot and we need to contain the shedding. This gate shields our stairs so he can't go up the stairs. Its "pre-assembled" (at least parts of it) so its very easy to install, included instructions are clear. Its convenient because of the self-locking mechanism. It snuggly tight to the walls. It has small pads so it won't damage our walls. Wish we've gotten this sooner, less time vacuuming the carpet upstairs!

This fence is very helpful to prevent our baby go to the stairs, it is very easy to install and the lock is powerful that my baby can not figure out how to open it. The height of the fence is great that baby won't be able to climb over it and adults can be easily cross over it.

Finally I'm able to get this dog gate and it made my life so much easier. My dog has separation anxiety and whenever he doesn't see anyone, he'll bark as loud as he could. However, when my friends come over for dinner, I have to keep him in the room. With this gate, I'm able to keep him in the room while he's got his eyes on us, so that he doesn't feel he's being abandoned. The installation is super easy and it comes with extension parts that fits wider doors. The door opens and closes smoothly and it has a spring inside that allows it to bounce back automatically, and from either direction. I wish I could've gotten it sooner.

This gate is perfect for us. We have 4 dogs. We needed separation for my fiances office now that he is working from home. The setup was less than 7 minutes. It is very sturdy and not harming our door or walls at all. The gate shuts automatically which is amazing and opens and closes in both directions. The room is also the access to the downstairs bathroom , so we dont have to worry about guests knocking over a flimsy gate or leaving a door opened. Highly recommended!
