Reddit Insights

Overall sentiment is divided between appreciation for the 2024 N Series revolver's game-accurate design and playability, and strong criticism of the original 2021 model's bulkiness, low capacity, and high price. Some users also report quality control issues with the newer version.

Review highlights for the new N Series Pillager's Crossbow
The new N Series Pillager’s Crossbow is a far better blaster. For $25, you get a stylized six-shot revolver that actually looks like it came from the game. I averaged 87fps with the included darts, and could fire two darts per second. The Pillager’s Crossbow is more comfortable than it has any right to be. Reloading on the fly is easy. It looks like something straight out of Minecraft, and making a themed blaster didn’t compromise its functionality.
Community opinions on Minecraft blasters, favoring the 6-shot crossbow
The 6-shot Pillager's crossbow is essentially an N-series Agility reskin... but it's a really nice reskin and is a solid performer. The 3-shot version is really cheap feeling. The Stormlander hammer is fun to clown on people with. For the price, the Agility is better value, but the Minecraft one is cooler looking.
Troubleshooting a non-firing N Series crossbow
Just got the new Pillager's crossbow and it doesn't work out of the box. The slide goes back but doesn't catch. Another user: Make sure the top piece is pushed all the way in. If that doesn't work, contact Hasbro for a replacement. Another: Mine had the lock stuck; I removed it and it works fine now.
Identification of the extra piece in the box
OP asks about an extra piece that came with the Pillager's crossbow. Answers: It's the priming slide lock for packaging; remove it and throw it away. The blaster won't prime with it attached.
