Nextfit is a convertible seat, so it rear faces and forward faces. Myfit is a combination seat, so it only forward faces and converts to a booster... Myfit has a higher top harness height than the Nextfit so it will last longer. If your kid fits in a Nextfit though, it really just depends on if you want to spend more money on a new seat now to eventually get a bit more use in the future when they outgrow the Nextfit.

When I finally got it, I realized the seatbelt install is really tricky on this seat. The lockoff doesn't actually help get the seat tight, it just holds the belt locked, but... I had to use the inside out trick to get it tight and now it's solid.

Chicco OneFit vs MyFit: Which is better for tall kids?
MyFit harness height is taller. OneFit has a shorter top harness height... MyFit will last longer forward facing. OneFit is an all-in-one so it does rear face, forward face, and booster. MyFit is only forward facing harness and booster. MyFit has a taller harness height so it will last longer for taller kids. If you have a really tall kid, the MyFit might be a better choice.

Next car seat for a tall, skinny 5-year-old
My daughter is 5yo, tall and skinny (43 inches, 36 lbs)... Looking at combination seats... We're considering the Chicco MyFit because it's tall and narrow and seems to fit her well... It's a great next step after a convertible.

I've been struggling to get a solid install with the seatbelt... I tried the inside out trick and it helped a bit but it's still not perfect. The recline bubbles seem impossible to get right in my car.
