Game changer!!!
This brand of swaddle blankets have helped my baby sleep through the night since she was 2 months old just about. She can't sleep without it. She is now 6 months old and still loving it!!!!
Best clothing for overnight
Our colicky newborn has been a challenge to care for especially during the night. We tried so many swaddling blankets, sleep sacks and footies and this sack seems to help him sleep the best. Easy and fast to take off and put on when fussy! Love!!
Wild Sleeper
This has been a great sleep sack for my little wild sleeper. She hates having her arms swaddled at her sides and she moves too much to be in a regular sleep sack. This has helped us get some sleep since it helps to keep her asleep!
Five Stars
My daughter loves sleeping in this swaddle!
Transition Made Easy!
We got tired of hearing our little girl fighting to have her arms in the middle of the night and decided why not try to transition her out of the swaddle? Well we have and we decided to use this. It works wonderfully! She sleeps even better than she did with the swaddle because she doesnt wake up and fight for her arms to be free! Happy parents and baby here!

Watch Out For
Community Q&A
- Is it safe for a baby who can roll?
- Yes, the half-length sleeves allow baby to push up and reposition head if they roll onto tummy.
- Does it help with the startle reflex?
- When mitten cuffs are closed, it provides partial suppression, reducing awakenings.
- What size should I get for a 3-month-old?
- Medium (3-6 months, 14-21 lbs) is typical, but follow weight guidelines and don't size up.
- How long does the transition take?
- Some babies adjust in a few days, others may take a week or more; opening cuffs gradually helps.
Compared To
vs Love to Dream Swaddle Up
Some parents find the SwaddleDesigns transitional sack easier for babies who want arms up but still need some startle suppression, while the Love to Dream was used prior but became unsafe after rolling.
vs Zipadee-Zip
The Zipadee-Zip is mentioned as an alternative for babies who still startle, but the SwaddleDesigns is preferred by some for its arm mobility and hip-healthy design.

Recommendation for SwaddleDesigns as best transition swaddle for a 3-month-old rolling baby
We used the SwaddleDesigns Transitional Swaddle Sack. It has half sleeves with mitten cuffs. It helped a lot because our baby still had a strong startle reflex but could roll. She slept so much better in it.

Positive experience but caution on sizing and fabric durability
Love the concept. My baby transitioned smoothly from the Ollie swaddle. But the medium size felt a bit short for my long baby at 3.5 months, and the fabric started pilling after a few washes. Still, it's the only thing that worked for us.

Discussion on safety of transitional swaddles for rolling babies, confirming SwaddleDesigns design is safe
The SwaddleDesigns one is safe because the half sleeves let them push up if they roll. It's not like a traditional swaddle. My pediatrician even said it was okay.

Multiple parents recommend SwaddleDesigns for transition period
We used the SwaddleDesigns arms up transitional sack. It was a lifesaver. We went from full swaddle to this and then to a sleep sack over a few weeks. The mitten cuffs were great for gradual transition.

Dad shares success with large size of SwaddleDesigns for older rolling baby
My 6-month-old was still startling and needed something safe after he started rolling. We got the large size of the SwaddleDesigns transitional sack (he was 20 lbs). It worked perfectly. He could still use his arms but didn't wake himself up.

Experience transitioning out of swaddle using SwaddleDesigns sack
We tried the Merlin suit and Zipadee Zip, but the SwaddleDesigns transitional sack was the only one that worked. The arms-up half sleeves with foldover cuffs helped wean her off the startle dependence. We started with both cuffs closed, then one open, then both open over 10 days.
