I got the Comomy extra wide gate after seeing it recommended here. It's solid, easy to operate one-handed, and fits my 72" opening perfectly. The assembly instructions were awful, but once I figured it out, it's been great. Much cheaper than the Cardinal gate and just as good for my needs.

I have the Comomy gate in black for my dogs. It's 30" tall and extends to 80". Works great for my golden retriever, but the bars are a bit wide, so a small dog might slip through. Assembly was confusing, but YouTube helped. Overall, very sturdy and a good price.

Ended up going with the Comomy 80" wide gate in white. It's solid metal, auto-closes, and was cheaper than the Cardinal. Only downside is that you really need to hardware mount it for stairs, but it comes with the hardware. Happy with it so far.
