Community Q&A

Does the Britax UpnGo have lower anchors?
No, the UpnGo does not include lower anchors; Britax offers the UpnGo Click with that feature.
Is a backless booster safe for a 5-year-old?
Yes, if the child meets the height/weight requirements (40 lbs and 46 inches for the UpnGo) and can sit properly, but many parents prefer a high-back booster for younger children for sleep support.

  • Discussion on backless boosters with wide seats, recommending Britax UpnGo for slim fit

Check out the Britax UpnGo. It's slim (I think 17"?) and under $100. We use ours primarily for Grandmas vehicle and travel. We have a Chicco GoFit too but the UpnGo we reach for first because of how lightweight it is. If you really want a backless with lower anchors, the UpnGo Click offers that.

  • General booster seat discussion with mention of slim designs for three-across

We have two Britax high back boosters for our 6 and 8 year olds. They're pretty slim, I have both of them plus a baby rearfacing in our Subaru Forester, all in the backseat.

  • Recommendation for age-appropriate booster, mentioning Britax and Graco

At her weight and height she can ride in a backless booster safely provided she can stay upright and the belt fits. My almost 5 year old uses a Britax high back booster in my car but a Graco backless turbo in his dad's truck. I know Britax makes a backless booster. You can look on their website for the different models.

  • Parent inquiry about transitioning to backless booster, Britax UpnGo mentioned

There should be a backless booster out there for you. Britax makes one, it may be called the UpnGo? The one we have has a gray seat and black back. It was purchased at Target and my husband wanted it for his car because it's low profile and lightweight.
