I would not recommend this style latch.  I had replaced the original latch on the storm door with a Bayfield VBA213, very nice latch and only took me 20 minutes install, however it wore out and needed replacing.  Times being what they are I opted for a less expensive model.  Huge mistake!  What should have only been a 15 or 20 minute job ended up taking me hours.  The spindle kept falling off when I was trying to install, you need a hacksaw to cut the spindle to length, not everyone has a hacksaw.  The lock is smaller or something because it sets way back from the door edge of the door compared to the old VBA213 latch, same install holes for original latch, VBA213 and this new one VIL333.  Then once everything was installed for some reason \nthe latch wouldn't collapse when it hit the strike plate.  I had it lined up to hit dead center of strike plate, didn't work, no matter where I moved it, it didn't work.  I had to take out the spacer under the strike plate and the latch collapses now to close the door, however it only has a very very small section , maybe 1/8 inch of the latch to keep it from blowing open.
