I have the North States one for a 10-foot opening. It works fine. The one-handed open/close is nice. But my 2.5 year old can easily climb over it because it's only like 2 feet tall. I wish I had gotten a taller one like the Regalo 192-inch one. Also at full extension it’s a bit flimsy.

Recommendation for wide gate with positive experience
Toddleroo by north states 10 foot gate. It’s not tension, you have to drill mounts. It’s not too terrible to work out, my wife can work it and is short, and has a massive opening to fit it. It does sag in the middle when fully opened but I would 100% buy it again.

Advice on gate for extra-wide opening with height concerns
I have the toddleroo north states one for my open concept living room and it works but it’s definitely short. I wish it was taller because my 18 month old already tries to climb it.
