The products were very good
The products were very good. More than I’d expected them to be. The color of the diaper bag is beautiful and I know my daughter in love will be happy with it.
Reddit Insights
5 threads · r/toddlers, r/BabyBumps, r/Buyingforbaby, r/NewParents, r/beyondthebumpReddit discussions reveal mixed sentiments: parents appreciate the budget-friendly price and easy-to-clean fabric, but consistently report difficult installation, bulkiness in compact cars, and short longevity, especially in booster mode.
Overall sentiment leans slightly negative due to widespread complaints about installation difficulty and bulkiness, though some positive comments on price, comfort, and harness holders prevent a strongly negative rating.

Watch Out For
Community Q&A
- How easy is the Safety 1st Grow and Go to install?
- Generally considered difficult to install, often requiring a rolled towel for proper recline and significant effort to tighten securely.
- Does it fit in small cars?
- Not well; the seat is bulky front-to-back in rear-facing mode, often forcing the front passenger seat far forward.
- Is it a good long-term investment?
- It may not last through booster mode for all children due to low top harness slots (16.5") and a 52" booster height limit that many outgrow before passing the 5-step test.
Compared To
vs Graco 4Ever
Users often compare the Safety 1st to Graco 4Ever, noting that the Safety 1st is more affordable but harder to install and less compact front-to-back, while the Graco offers easier installation and longer lifespan.
vs Graco Extend2Fit
Some parents switched from Safety 1st to Graco Extend2Fit due to installation frustration and better fit in smaller cars with the Graco model.
vs Evenflo Revolve360
Compared in a thread about swivel seats, with Evenflo Revolve360 praised for ease of use but at a higher price point; Safety 1st was ultimately chosen for budget reasons.
vs Safety 1st Grow and Go Slim
A user noted the Slim variant fits better in compact cars but still has installation challenges and low top harness slots, limiting long-term use.

General opinions on Safety 1st All-in-One car seat in r/toddlers
We got a Safety 1st Grow and Go Slim for our truck and it's okay. The price was right but it was a nightmare to install. It took both of us and we still feel like it's not tight enough. It's also huge rear-facing. We can't put the passenger seat back very far. My son seems comfortable and the fabric is easy to wipe clean. I wouldn't buy it again.

First-time mom considers Safety 1st car seat in r/BabyBumps
I got the Safety 1st Grow and Go All-in-One for my baby shower. I haven't installed it yet but the reviews are worrying me. People say it's hard to install and doesn't fit well in small cars. I drive a Honda Civic so now I'm worried. Should I return it? UPDATE: I returned it and got the Graco 4Ever DLX instead. Better safe than sorry.

Swivel car seat comparison including Safety 1st in r/Buyingforbaby
We were between the Safety 1st Turn and Go 360 and the Evenflo Revolve360 Extend. The Safety 1st was cheaper and actually pretty easy to install. The swivel is smooth and my baby doesn't cry getting in anymore. The fabric isn't as plush as the Evenflo but it's fine. For the price difference, I'm happy with it.

Overwhelmed parent asks about Safety 1st in r/NewParents
I got the Safety 1st Grow and Go All-in-One and I hate it. It's impossible to get a tight install. I took it to a car seat tech and even she struggled. It's also so wide, it barely fits in my back seat. I wish I had spent a little more for something easier. The harness holders are nice in theory but the straps twist constantly.

Best car seat for a 3-year-old with Safety 1st experience in r/beyondthebump
We had the Safety 1st Grow and Go Slim and it was okay for a while but my 3-year-old is already almost too tall for the harness. The top slots are only 16.5 inches! We switched to a Graco Extend2Fit and it's so much better. The Safety 1st was also a pain to tighten properly. I feel like it's a seat you'll end up replacing sooner than you think.
