PSA to those who use Phillips Avent Natural... If you switched from the old Natural nipples to the Natural Response, you probably need to size up by 2-3 levels. My baby was on size 2 Natural but needs size 4 or 5 in Natural Response to get anything out. It’s a huge difference.

Philips Avent nipples someone explain... The Natural nipples have a slit that lets milk drip out; the Natural Response only flows when baby sucks. That’s why the flow seems so slow. If you have a fast letdown, baby might get frustrated. I had to go up to size 4 for my 2-month-old.

Avent nipples... We used the Natural Response size 2 and it worked perfectly for my breastfed baby who pace feeds. But if you're exclusively bottle feeding I can see why you'd need a faster flow. Make sure the vent isn't clogged.
