  • Dad recommends Safety 1st gate for bottom of stairs, finds it sturdy

I have a Safety 1st gate at the bottom of my stairs and it's very sturdy. It's pressure mounted and was easy to install. I'd recommend it for bottom of stairs only, not the top.

  • Parent finds latch stiff and frustrating, but gate holds up to toddler

We've had the Safety 1st Easy Install gate for a year. It's held up well to our toddler yanking on it, but the latch is so stiff my wife can barely open it with one hand. I have to use both hands sometimes. It's a pain, but it keeps the kid out.
