Warning about core breakage and cymbal risk when covers wear out
PSA: I used Ahead sticks for years and they did break ... the plastic sleeve wears down fast if you rimshot a lot, then the aluminum core is exposed and can snap. Broke a cymbal that way. Replace the sleeves often!

They last me about 6 months of heavy playing, but the tips always unscrew unless I glue them. For $35 I can buy 4 pairs of wood sticks that break but feel better. Not worth it for me.
