At 12 weeks they are still in the 'looker' phase so you would clip the included high contrast images on the wooden pegs. ... Advice to get both Lovevery and Fisher Price for different needs
If it’s in your budget, I’d defs recommend getting both! They serve different needs and provide different play opportunities. My baby at 7mo has loved both since the newborn stage, but if I had to choose one I’d say the play gym has been more versatile across the stages of development.

Good but questionable after 6 months due to mobility
I have it and love it, but Idk if I’d get it this late in the game. My little one is 6m.o and finally starting to interact with the play zones on the mat, but it simultaneously just gets in the way of his rolling and crawling.

I have the lovevery playgym and it was amazing. The frame is study and durable. The toys hanging from the frame are at just the perfect height. ... Now LO is 10m old. We have converted the playgym into a tent. LO loves crawling in and out of his tent.

Direct comparison with Lalo play gym
Lalo is cheaper and better if you prefer the subtle softer aesthetic, fits better in smaller homes, and folds up easily for storage. ... Lovevery is bigger, more expensive, and visually noisy, but it has more play-stuff to engage the baby. It also has the play cards included, and I love the clips to hang them on the arches.
