New Jolly Jumper Exerciser – Iconic Original, Safari Saddle (Grey)
The Jolly Jumper Original Baby Exerciser is a doorway-hanging baby jumper designed to provide safe, active play for infants. It is used for supervised exercise sessions to help develop balance, coordination, and muscle strength, with many parents reporting it keeps babies entertained for short periods. Key specifications include a lightweight design (2.4 lbs), a gray safari saddle seat, a maximum weight capacity of 28 lbs, and quick tool-free setup in most doorways. Reviews indicate that sessions should be limited to 15-20 minutes per day and that the jumper should only be used once the baby has strong head control, typically around 4-6 months.

Watch Out For
Community Q&A
- Is it safe to use a Jolly Jumper?
- It is generally considered safe if used correctly: wait until baby has good head control, keep sessions short (15-20 min max), ensure feet are flat, and never leave unattended.
- At what age can a baby start using a Jolly Jumper?
- Most parents start around 4-6 months, once the baby has strong neck and some core control. The box says 3 months but many wait longer.
- Does the Jolly Jumper delay walking?
- There is no consensus; some studies suggest excessive use may delay walking due to toe-walking and lack of floor time, but many parents report no issues with moderate use.
Compared To
vs Exersaucer
Jolly Jumper is better for tiring baby out and giving freedom of movement, while exersaucer is better for learning and stationary play.

Mixed experiences and recommendations for the Jolly Jumper
Limited to about 15 minutes a day or until baby gets tired and starts to slump... Pretty much everything has warnings about not being that great for baby these days because there are too many people who dont use things correctly/follow recomendations. If baby is strong enough a Jolly jumper is fine, used in moderation.

Strong recommendation for the Jolly Jumper as a lifesaver
Yes i very very very much recommend it. Omg its amazing. Super safe in my opinion. Lots of padding. Super easy to put in any doorway. I honeatly dont know what i would do w.o. it. Lol Its super different then the excersaucer. I think the jolly jumper is much better at tiring Stella out.

Expert warnings about developmental risks
Hi All :-) We were gifted a jolly jumper which I mentioned to a relative who is an occupational therapist... and she told me not to use it at all because of all the negative effects it has on development. She says they see a lot of children with feet problems especially as they spend so much time jumping on their toes.

Positive anecdotes with moderation and safety tips
We used it once my LO had good neck control at around 5-6 months. We only did a maximum of 15-20 mins at a time. It is generally not recommended because babies’ bodies normally aren’t developed enough to take on the force of “jumping”. But they have been used for many years by many people… So I think anything in moderation is okay… My LO walked at 8 months and has no motor skills issues and we used the jolly jumper.

Unexpected benefit for a child with cerebral palsy
My 10 month old with CP loves his jolly jumper! It's one of the few things that makes him squeal with joy and gives him a chance to move his legs in a way he can't otherwise. His PT actually recommended it to build leg strength.
