Hey! Out of curiosity, have any of you guys bought or used the Dream on me Karley Bassinet? If so, did you think the mattress pad was too thin? ... I had this one with my first baby. You do want it firm. It would unsafe to add anything else. I bought some sheets on Amazon and they fit great. I liked being able to bring it with when we went to other peoples houses Or overnights elsewhere. We had a curious kitty, so we would zip baby in so the cat couldn’t jump in there. I didn’t like how the zipper sometimes woke baby up.

Comparison with other bassinets and cat protection
Oh I haven’t used the babybay but I have used the Dream on Me Karley bassinet and we liked it! It was lightweight and easy to move around the house - sometimes I’d drag it into the bathroom so I could shower. The insert says it’s good up until 25 lbs and my 19 lb 7 month old still fits in it. It was also relatively inexpensive. We also have cats and liked how we could zip up the canopy covering to keep them out! Not a typical feature on most bassinets, and it gave us peace of mind, for sure. As others have mentioned, the mattress is thin, but that’s typical for bassinets and our baby didn’t seem to mind.

Positive recommendation for travel and cat protection
We just got the dream on me Karley bassinet for a trip we’re going on when our baby is 3 months and we love it! It’s also great for cat protection. It’s pretty big and the insert is thin but it seems like that’s what’s recommended.
