Decent for travel
Pretty good for how small this is. Used for two weeks on a variety of surfaces, including folding/unfolding multiple times an day and on flights. Definitely not a daily driver, but great for travelling and keeping in a cramped car. Things I like: Folds up extremely small and with one hand (does take a little getting used to). Easy to unfold. Large upf50 canopy Large basket. Easy to push and pretty smooth on non-bumpy surfaces. Cons: The 5 point seatbelt is horrendous, but I have a feeling that’s a baby jogger stroller standard. The recline is just a drawstring, essentially, letting the seatback fall back, and the seatback appears to LITERALLY be cardboard. So not super supportive or luxurious. Very bumpy on anything non-paved and no suspension for any sort of bumps in the sidewalk. That’s to be expected in an ultralight, though.
Great lightweight stoller
Nice lightweight stroller very portable. Can we use at many locations. Very comfortable for small child and enough room for small cooler underneath. Kept my kids safe. And love the durable functions.
Loved it
I received this product from influenster in exchange for my honest review. I love this stroller for my toddler. It is practical, easy to use and move and although it has a great quality, it feels light and easy to carry. I recommend it. The only downside is that I wouldn’t use it for small babies.
Super great!
I love this stroller so much. It’s such a big help for us everytime we go travel. It’s easy access and what I love the most about this stroller is a very light weight. Easy to fold , easy to use.
It glides well
I will start off by saying 1 star got taken away from the review simply due to the awkwardness when opening it. It doesnt open very well one handed, even with two hands its a bit of a learning curve. Other than that, I love this stroller. It glides around easily, I can rotate it in a circle with one hand. Its good for traveling and paved trail walking (i havent tried dirt trails). I have a kia sportage and when folded up it fits great in the back. It feels durable and sturdy. It seems pretty comfortable and safe.
Super comfy cute stroller
This stroller was super comfortable for my baby even my toddler wanted to ride in it but I told her she’s too big. It was easy to put together we just needed to add the wheels on adjust the straps and we were ready to go. We have been out to the park and strolled around the house and this stroller moves very smoothly. I like how far the canopy over my baby comes down and that it was easy to adjust the back to either laying down or sitting up.
My go to stroller
The Baby Jogger City Tour 2 Eco Stroller in Black is the perfect mix of durability, safety, and style. It feels super sturdy yet lightweight, making it easy to fold and carry, especially for travel. The seat is comfortable with a near-flat recline and adjustable calf support, while the UV canopy adds extra protection. I love how chic and sleek it looks, and it’s versatile enough for everyday errands or trips. Definitely a safe, reliable, and stylish choice for parents on the move!
Must have - especially for toddlers!
I absolutely love this stroller! Best travel stroller I own, and I have 3 others. It offers the lay flat option for once your kid is asleep so can sleep peacefully and can lift up the leg rest too. It is very easily fold and lightweight to carry around. There is storage space so it fits my toddler’s entire stuffed backpack, and the sun shade is a great size too. I highly recommend this stroller to all my friends. It is very sturdy as well and the handles are comfortable for adults. Easy to maneuver!

Across reviews, how common are reports of the front-wheel 'clicking' or issues with the buckle/straps on this City Tour 2 Eco?
We see those problems only in a minority of reviews — this has a 4.1/5 average across 190 reviews and most customers praise the stroller’s lightweight fold and maneuverability. Expert and user reviews do call out that the harness/buckle can feel stiff or (in a few posts) the buckle pieces can pop, and several reviewers mention intermittent front‑wheel rattling/clicking, so the reports are sporadic rather than widespread. Overall, these issues appear uncommon but have been reported by multiple independent reviewers. [1][2][3]

Which Baby Jogger infant car seat models are confirmed compatible with this City Tour 2 Eco, and what adapter part numbers are required (if any)?
This City Tour 2 Eco is confirmed compatible with Baby Jogger infant car seats City GO 2 and City GO Air; the Baby Jogger compatibility chart lists the adapter status as “In Box” for those seats, so no separate adapter part number is required. Please consult the compatibility chart if you plan to use a different brand car seat. [1]

Can the stroller be folded and unfolded reliably one-handed in real use, or do reviewers commonly need two hands/a learning curve to operate the fold?
We built the City Tour 2 with a one-step ultra‑compact fold and auto‑lock, but some reviewers report a small learning curve — a few say it doesn’t open smoothly one‑handed at first and they use two hands until they’ve practiced. Many other customers still find it lightweight (≈14 lb) and easy to fold and carry one‑handed once they’re used to the motion.

Is the seat safe and comfortable for unsupervised long naps for a newborn (near-flat recline) without using an infant car seat or bassinet attachment?
We do not recommend leaving a newborn to take unsupervised, long naps in this stroller. The City Tour 2 manual states the stroller “does not replace a cot or a bed” and that you should never leave a child unattended (use the most reclined seat position for newborns when riding). Professional safe-sleep guidance also says babies who nap in car seats or strollers should be moved to a firm, flat sleep surface (crib/bassinet) as soon as possible. [1][2]

What type of wheels does this model use (solid/foam-filled/air-filled) and are replacement wheels or parts readily available from Baby Jogger?
This stroller uses solid, foam‑filled plastic wheels (not air/pneumatic); front and rear tires are plastic (front ~7.5" / rear ~9.5"). [1][3] Replacement front and rear wheels are sold through Baby Jogger’s official parts store (and by authorized spare‑parts retailers) — Baby Jogger lists City Tour 2 front and rear wheels on its parts site (front ≈ $36, rear ≈ $28.50). When folded and inside the included carry bag, does the City Tour 2 Eco reliably fit in a standard airplane overhead bin on major carriers?
When folded (and inside the included carry bag) the City Tour 2 Eco collapses to roughly 21.5–22 × 16.9–17 × 6.8–7.5 inches (about 59–64 × 50 × 19 cm), per Baby Jogger and retailer specs. Major U.S. carriers use a 22 × 14 × 9 in carry‑on guideline, so while the stroller’s length and height fit that envelope and many parents report it fitting in overhead bins, its middle dimension (~17”) is wider than the 14” guideline — so it will fit most airplanes but is not guaranteed on all aircraft (especially regional jets) and could be gate‑checked. How much adjustability does the calf support provide (approx. extension range in inches) and is it tall-child friendly for a toddler near the 45 lb limit?
We estimate the calf support adds roughly 8 inches of extension — the seat depth is listed at about 22 cm (~8.7 in) and the seat depth with the calf support extended at about 43 cm (~16.9 in), so the calf/leg rest gives roughly +8–8.5 in of extra length. This stroller is rated for children up to 45 lb and up to 40 in (101.6 cm) tall, so it’s designed to accommodate a tall toddler near the weight limit, though a child very close to 40 in may be near the maximum recommended height.
Sources
Instruction manual (weight/height limit) and retailer/spec pages listing seat depth with and without calf support.
With the seat in a near-flat recline, is the under‑seat storage still easily accessible and usable for a diaper bag or other luggage?
Yes — the City Tour 2 Eco’s under‑seat basket (15 lb capacity) remains accessible and usable with the seat in the near‑flat recline and will comfortably hold a diaper bag or medium-sized luggage. Keep in mind the recline and adjustable calf support reduce some vertical clearance, so very bulky items may be harder to fit; several reviewers note the basket easily held a toddler’s stuffed backpack.

Are the recycled soft-touch fabrics removable and what are the recommended washing instructions (machine cycle, temperature, detergents, and drying method)?
Yes. The seat and canopy fabrics on this City Tour 2 Eco are removable — the manual notes you should remove the metal frame and PE (plastic) boards from the seat before laundering. Machine wash cold on a gentle/delicate cycle with a mild detergent (no bleach, solvents or abrasive cleaners); do not tumble dry, iron, dry clean, or wring — drip/air dry (the manual even suggests reattaching the seat to the frame to dry to minimize shrinkage).
