Community Q&A

Does the City Turn rotate forward-facing?
No, it only rotates when rear-facing.
Is the City Turn easy to install?
Yes, especially with RAPIDLOCK and push-on LATCH, though lockoffs can be tight.
How does it compare to the Evenflo Revolve 360?
Evenflo rotates in both modes and becomes a booster, but City Turn has a higher rear-facing limit and better quality materials.

Compared To

vs Evenflo Gold Revolve 360

Evenflo rotates 360° in both modes and has a higher forward-facing weight limit, but City Turn has a higher rear-facing limit (50 vs. 40 lbs) and is often preferred for quality and extended rear-facing.

vs Nuna Revv

Nuna Revv has a lower rear-facing limit (40 lbs) and is more expensive, but some prefer its materials and design.

vs Graco Turn2Me

Graco Turn2Me is a lower-cost alternative with similar rotation, but City Turn feels more premium.

vs Cybex Sirona S

Cybex rotates both ways but has sensor safe technology issues; City Turn is simpler and has higher rear-facing limit.

  • Nuna Revv vs Baby Jogger City Turn - Comparison and Recommendation

I have the City Turn and love it. The rotation is smooth and makes it so easy to get my baby in and out. I tried the Nuna Revv in store and the rotation felt clunky in comparison. The City Turn also has a higher rear-facing weight limit (50 lbs vs 40 lbs). Yes it only rotates rear-facing but honestly by the time they're forward-facing they can climb in themselves. Also the install was really easy with the LATCH system. I would absolutely recommend the City Turn over the Revv.

  • CPST Thoughts on Baby Jogger City Turn

As a CPST, I like the City Turn. The rotation is only rear-facing but that's when you need it most. The install is straightforward but the lockoff is in a tight spot and can be hard to close. The seat is heavy though - 28 lbs. It's not one I'd recommend if you need to switch cars often. But for a primary car seat, it's a solid choice with great crash protection.

  • Rotating Car Seat: Evenflo Revolution 360 vs Baby Jogger City Turn

We were torn between the two but went with the City Turn because of the 50 lb rear-facing limit and the fact that it felt more solid. The Evenflo felt flimsy in comparison and the straps kept getting twisted. The City Turn is bigger and heavier though so measure your car first. We have a RAV4 and it fits okay behind the passenger seat but it's tight. The rotation is a game changer for my bad back.

  • Help Me Choose: Baby Jogger City Turn vs Evenflo Gold Revolve 360 Extend

If you want extended rear-facing and don't need a booster later, get the City Turn. We have the City Turn in onyx black and love it. The fabric is nice and my son seems comfortable. I wish it rotated forward-facing too but honestly I don't really miss it now that he's forward-facing. The install with the RAPIDLOCK is super easy. My only complaint is the cup holder is tiny.

  • Convertible Car Seat Possibly Rotating for a Big Baby

My daughter is 95th percentile for weight and the City Turn has been great because of the high rear-facing limit. She's 42 pounds at 3 and still rear-facing comfortably. The rotation makes it a breeze to get her in. Yes it's only rear-facing rotation but that's all I need. It is a big seat and takes up a lot of room front to back so check your vehicle. Also the harness adjuster is a bit stiff but overall recommended.

  • Baby Jogger City Turn - Unboxing and First Impressions

Just got the City Turn in onyx black. The packaging was minimal which I appreciate. First impression: it's heavy but feels incredibly sturdy. The fabric is soft and looks high quality. Installation with the LATCH was literally 30 seconds. The rotation is so smooth and the click when it locks is very satisfying. My 7 month old giggled when I turned it. So far really impressed.
