Graco Pack n’ Play Close2Baby Playard with Baby Bassinet (Milan)

When I first got this, for my first grandchild, I was looking for something that was convenient to have around my house, and that I could use in various stages of growth. So for me, the changing table and bassinet were must haves, as I did not plan to buy a crib that had an attached changing table, or a separate bassinet. So this playard was the perfect compromise. It did take a bit of time to put together, as easy as you would think it is. And then I made the mistake of putting one piece on wrong, that is where the Bassinet hooks to. When I first put it on, it was under the changing table and I was having a mini freakout and contacted support, who was wonderful to work with. We couldn't figure out why my assembly was wrong, and they were patient, and then decided to just send me a new one. While that was coming, I figured out what I had done wrong, but unfortunately had to wait for the new one to arrive. As far as the items, I've not used the actual playard yet, just the bassinet and changing table. Both are fantastic! I pack the bassinet with me everywhere and our 6 week old sleeps in it wonderfully! The changing table holds up great as well. Love the storage that clips on the sides, perfect for my diapers, wipes, creams and stuff.

I was so excited for this pack'n playard as it has all the basics you will need when starting out. I love the newborn bassinet can be removed to use alone when having to move around in the home. The unit has built-in storage which is just enough to store the essentials. It has wheels so its easy to maneuver and fold easily if you need to move to another area of home and or travel. I didn't give 5 stars only because it doesn't have sound features and/or vibrating features like some of the other models but this has all you need for a basic all in one.

The set up on this could use some work. However once it is set up the changer and attachment for holding wipes, diapers etc makes diaper changes much easier especially at night. The bassinet my daughter didn’t care for but it’s a nice deep capacity and would fit an arrange of sizes no matter how big or small your newborn is. The playard itself is great my daughter naps in it daily and I will be bummed when she outgrows it.

I wanted a playard with all the features: newborn bassinet, changing table, and full size infant bassinet, and we are very happy with our Pack n Play so far. Our two month old is sleeping on the full size infant bassinet and it is working well for us. It was easy to assemble and is good quality.

This Pack-n-Play has been a huge help to me with an infant and a toddler. The portable bassinette makes it easy to transport baby around the house and keep her safe while I play with my toddler. The changing table is super convenient. However, there's no hook to hang a dirty diaper bag. Also, the bassinette and changing table do not collapse very easily for travel. An added feature that I would like to see on this model is a zipper down front of the Pack-n-Play so that it would be easier to stash extra toys and blankets in the lower area. Overall, a very good product for the price!

I was given this bassinet to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. We used this for our second baby from the day we got home from the hospital. Having a safe space to put the baby down, especially with a 16 month old running around, was essential. We used the removable bassinet (while attached to the play yard) for the first 3-4 weeks or so until we started doing naps in the full size bassinet. It felt like a great transition to a larger space like his crib, but made the transition gradual. We rarely used the portable bassinet around our home as our toddler is too young to quite understand that the baby needs to be left alone, but I wished many times that we had this play yard with our first as we would have gotten lots of use out of the portability! We bought a very simple play yard with no bassinet, portable bassinet, or changing table with our first and I really wish I would’ve instead gotten a play yard like this Grace close 2 baby play yard instead - it would have saved us getting another play yard when our second came along. I will say, I’m 5’6” and found the changing table too low. We used bed risers to raise the height so it wouldn’t hurt my back. This play yard seems like a standard height, so this is more of a con for all play yards. Main pros: - Portable bassinet that is easy to relocate and easy to clean. (Very important to us as we have a baby that spits up a lot) - Portable bassinet is designated for sleep. (Not all competitors portable bassinets are) - Convenient changing station. (and easy to clean - although I still lay down a towel in case of accidents. I can remove the towel & quickly wipe down the changing station) - Both portable bassinet and changing station can be attached with the full size bassinet inserted, making it easy to choose between the portable bassinet and the full size bassinet. (this isn’t the case in other brands of similar products) - Super easy to use from smallest newborn stage through toddlerhood Cons: - Attached storage is minimal, especially at the rate babies go through diapers. - When portable bassinet is used while the full size bassinet is set up, you cannot see the baby through the side panel as the mesh is blocked. I personally like to see my sleeping child, so this was a con for me but may not be important for others. Overall, I would 100% buy this bassinet and recommend it for any parents or caregivers.

I bought this for a baby shower gift. It was perfect. The mom to be loved it. It met all the requirements she was looking for. Very functional and portable.

We’ve been using this pack n play for only a couple weeks now so haven’t tested out the main area yet. Changing table works for us, no issues. The portable bassinet is perfect for having a safe space to set your newborn down. Only complaint so far is that there aren’t any sheets/mattress protectors available to purchase for it. The mattress pad itself is machine washable, but has to air dry so makes it very inconvenient to not be able to use all day after washing. It would be great if I could purchase a second one separately.

Assembly was a nightmare. Immediately made me want to return the product. Design was awful, instructions were literally just a picture that says “assemble bassinet”. No clarity on how, which way things snap together, nothing. Whoever is working on user design should be fired. It’s not that hard to make a usable users manual. 0/10.

Why would this company ship there products with no instructions on how to put it together??? Very poor planning and very poor organization. Regardless of any quality of the product this sets the tone for the whole experience and it was one epic fail.

I thought a pack and play newborn set would be a great idea but was wrong. The startle reflex in a newborn is constantly triggered because the bassinet and higher attachment swing when the baby moves. My baby cries inconsolably when using these items. Not to mention it is difficult to put together, or pack up. The whole kit doesn’t fit in the bag that it comes with and overtime the bag will tear due to the thin material. I wish I could get my money back from this item. I would never use this while traveling. Horrible product.

We bought this for our young niece to stay before our own little one arrives. The setup was reasonably straight forward by following the instructions. The setup is stable and it has everything we need for our little one.

We kept it in our living room when she was a newborn for diaper changes and close naps to us in the newborn bassinet insert, and now she is using the infant crib in our room for night sleep. We have also traveled with this set multiple times without issue! We absolutely love it.

I brought this play-yard because it is so versatile. This is my third baby. I love that it has a bassinet/portable Moses basket that can be used inside and outside of the play-yard. I am planing to use it for day time naps. So baby will be close while I do housework and supervise my other children. The changing station with storage will come in handy. I plan to use the tiered play-yard options. It is beautiful. I love the gender neutral design. It matches my living room. It is high quality. It fits in my small home. It takes a little while to figure out how to put it together just right, but I was able to do it alone while I am heavily pregnant. I am sure the next time I need to put it together, it will be even easier. I love it so much, I think it is going to be my favorite piece of baby gear perfect for my sweet baby boy.

Directions to put together are terrible. Canopy for bassinet was trapped underneath the frame of the bassinet due to poor instructions. Once frame of bassinet is set up, it cannot be assembled so I cannot use the bassinet. I reached out multiple times to customer service and after several attempts a new bassinet was supposed to be delivered however they did not send the frame, just the fabric/canopy which is unusable without the frame.

We love this pack and play! We have twins and it’s perfect for both of them, easy to travel with, and very easy to manage. I would highly recommend this pack n play for your little one! The bassinet part was my most favorite.

The bassinet is portable and we’re able to move it around the house when needed which is great. It has a breathable mesh around it and a soft memory foam like bottom and seems like the baby is very content and comfortable when resting in it. The diaper changing part of the play yard is very helpful as well. I can’t wait to see how this will come in handy as my baby grows! Overall, this product is super versatile and I love it!

We bought the exact same Pack n Play that our son and daughter-in-law did for their first child. When we visited them, we noticed they used the Pack n Play many times daily - it was set up in their living room for diaper change and napping in the bassinet. We bought this for our home so that when they visited, they do not need to bring theirs. They just visited for 2 weeks and were grateful to have it here!

No instructions, hey Newell leadership, bring one to the board room and see if the executive team can assemble the pack n play combo unit…. No instructions for you either. When you can figure it out go back to work and lead with the customer experience as this was awful and yet so simple to resolve..

I love that I have this as her bassinet and crib and it’s great to have the diaper changing area. My only complaints are that you don’t sell sheets for the bassinet. And I also wish the sun shade on the bassinet was removable.

This is perfect for a newborn and into toddler ages! It has a handy changing table and bassinet. It’s easy to carry on the go. I like it for the living room during nap times as well. It’s quite sturdy and the mattress is very soft.

We built this a few weeks ago when our son came. Putting it together is easy enough as long as you’re good without instructions and finding random YouTube videos to help. Cleaning is a nightmare as there is was no easy way to get the bassinet off the frame without taking the whole thing apart. As long as your kid is an angel and doesn’t need a blowout change, this works fine enough.

This bassinet playard is wonderful. I like the height to which it raises your baby for changing. My baby loves laying in the changing station and doesn’t fuss while lying there. The organizing tray is good for holding clean diapers and assorted creams you may need. The wheels make it easy to move around.

Daughter in law registered for this for baby shower . Instructions are not clear for easy assembly . Upon assembling the changer rail , the button snapped on the changer rail with plastic corner . Ordered a new replacement changer rail . Too bad the rails weren’t already preassembled . Disappointed to say the least to have to pay extra for something brand new with poor construction.

I bought this as a gift for my sister-in-law to use for my nephew that arrives in November. Her sister has one and has used it for both daughters and loves hers and recommended this. It was highly rated, so I cannot wait for my sister to use it! It has everything in one!

Bought this on Amazon. We've had this for less than 4 months and the mesh fabric that the mattress rests one came apart from one of the plastic hooks that keep the full thing up making this unsafe to use. It can easily come apart and drop the baby to the bottom of the playpen. What's worse this happened the first time we used it since we only used the bassinette so far. FYI my daughter is only 14lbs so not even a big baby. So very disappointed.

Very sturdy and the easy wipe changing table is great. Wish the base of the playpen was a bit bigger.

Overall, love the item but have a few points that leave room for improvement. 1) changing pad doesn’t hold tight and has a bit of a wiggle. This didn’t matter when my newborn was under 8lbs but has become a bigger issue as my son grows. It’s y steady and shifts so the pad is not level and my son rolls to the side/middle of pack n play. Not the safest and definitely adds a new challenge while changing diapers. 2) anything baby related should be washable. The changing bad cover does not easily come off the frame, and the frame does not easily disassemble so washing the cover is near impossible. This is not ideal, especially with a little boy. (A little Velcro on the cover could solve this easily) 3) bassinet is really only suited for newborn size. Once he hits the 10-15 lb mark it will probably be too small (but still plenty of room in the pack n play). This is a daily staple in our lives with a newborn and we do love it but updating these few things would make it amazing!

Came with no instructions and set up was not that easy without them. Finally have it all put together, but can't figure out how to pack the accessories (bassinet and changing pad). I found the user manual while skimming through other reviews but there's nothing about how to store the accessories and YouTube doesn't have anything for this model. So now I just have a full bassinet and changing pad loose in my vehicle??

I am soo upset. I will be due with my 2nd baby in June and need a mattress for this pack n play as it will be the primary bed for my newborn while we roomshare, but Graco doesn't have it in stock! What am I supposed to do now? I've spent over a thousand dollars on Graco products and I'm not getting any help when I most need it.

Great option for babies visiting. When they outgrow the bassinet, the playpen works well.

Our girl just turned 1 and we have used the heck out of our play yard. In the early stages, we used the changing table every 2 hours multiple times a day and the bassinet was great for naps or for hands free moments after diaper changes. After that phase the play yard became a great spot to roll around in. Once our girl was standing and crawling it was essentially for times when mommy desperately needed a shower. I would wheel it right into the bathroom and watch after my baby while I took care of my needs. Now we take it with us while we travel to visit family and for outdoor picnics

I have two of this item for my baby. It is super great product. We love using it. It is very safe for babies. My 11 month old sleeps in his room in this portable crib.

I received this Graco Close2Baby Bassinet Playard in the mail through the Stellar Product Testing Panel and decided to set it up in our basement playroom. I was in the market for something to be able to change my baby's diaper on and something for him to sleep in for that room. This product is perfect for both. It is a very versatile product that has gotten a lot of use these past couple weeks. I like that it is a neutral color and goes well with our decor throughout the house. I love that the bassinet is lightweight and portable and can be used on the playard or separately. It is great for when my baby falls asleep while we are downstairs playing. I am able to lay my baby in it, then carry the whole bassinet upstairs without having to wake my baby up when we are done. The changing station storage is perfect to hold a stack of diapers, package of wipes, diaper cream, and a few other small baby necessities. The material on the changing area that is covering the pad is a plastic that is able to be wiped off. It is cold to the touch and the baby did not like laying on it. I put a burp clothe on it for diaper changes. When baby is a little older we will put baby in the playard with some toys and let the older kids romp around. That way we do not have to worry about the baby being in the way or getting hurt. As far as the set up goes, for the most part, it was relatively easy. First click the sides into place. Next, when the playard feet were flat on the floor, I tried to push the middle down, and the middle legs got caught on the flooring and wouldn't push down all the way. After you get the sides clicked in, I recommend lifting one end slightly, while you push down the middle brace to keep the middle feet from dragging. The instructions for the assembly of the changing area clips were a little confusing. I like that it has wheels on one side to make it easy to move, but I feel the wheels should be on the opposite side. It was a little awkward finding a place to lift it where the changing area and organizer are. It would be easier if the wheels were on the changing side and you lifted from the bassinet side. Overall, I really like this product and will be using it a lot. It is the perfect piece for what we needed in the playroom. For photo reference, my baby is 21 inches long in size 1 diapers.

Being a mother of a one-month-old and a 22-month-old, I am all about convenience. A product that is functional and easy to use makes my life so much easier as I navigate the day with my children. The Pack ‘n Play Close2Baby Bassinet Playard certainly has some features that made my day easier. First, the built-in wheels made it very easy to move the Playard from room to room. Not only was the whole Playard easy to move, but the portable bassinet also made it convenient to take my one-month-old into another room while still staying asleep. Also, the sunshade was a nice feature to keep the light/sun out of my baby’s face without having the draw the curtains in the entire room. I particularly liked how the Playard did not require any tools to assemble. The directions came with pictures and were easy to follow. The size of the Playard is considerable; my 22-month-old, who is 30 pounds and 34 inches long, was able to nap in without touching any of the sides. The mattress pad is thick and comfortable. I especially liked how the mattress pad was held down by buttons and not Velcro. My favorite feature of the Playard was having a bassinet and changing station next to each other with the parent organizer easily in reach. The parent organizer made it easy to store diapers, wipes, cream, and hand sanitizer right beside the changing station. Having everything accessible and at my fingertips made changing my one-month-old’s diaper a snap. I also really like vinyl material inside the changing station; it made clean-up after an accident really simple. The material resisted stains which allowed me to focus on cleaning up my baby. While this product had many helpful features, there were a few that could use some improvement. The Playard was relatively difficult to unfold. The sides were difficult to lock in place and required a fair amount of force to be applied. Even when the sides were locked, the Playard tended to fall over or cave in until the bottom was pushed all the way down. This took a fair amount of maneuvering to get the Playard completely extended. The bassinet would have been easier to carry if it had a handle over the top of it instead of two handles on the side. This would have allowed it to be carried with one hand instead of two. Traveling with the entire system (bassinet, changing station, and Playard) would not be convenient as neither the bassinet nor the changing station came with travel bags. The Playard came with a nice cover to hold it together, but the changing station and bassinet did not fit in the cover. The fair amount of assembly required for these two items make it difficult to travel with as well. Overall, I would definitely recommend Graco Pack ‘n Play Close2Baby Bassinet Playard to someone who was looking for an all-in-one pack and play system to be used around their house. The pros outweigh the cons with this product, and if taken care of properly it should last baby a long time. I'm a first-time grandma of two new babies. This product serves and an excellent bassinet and playard combination. I'm able to give both babies a comfortable place to sleep at the same time. The changing table and organizer are an awesome bonus. I love this product and would highly recommend it to any new mom or grandma. Thank you!
