The cut is not a consistent length or quality, leading to some cards being shorter than others, and the finish on the bottom cut line varies in quality (straight vs burred). Many of them came with creases through the middle that made them useless... After a few months using these sleeves, the tops of them have also wrinkled a lot.

Mayday premium sleeves as best value
Mayday premium sleeves are excellent and cheap. I’ve used thousands of sleeves... so far I like Mayday best. Dragon Shields are a lot more expensive and have no benefit over Mayday IMO. Mayday thin sleeves are the best price, but you might not always want a thin sleeve. Their sizing can be erratic but not a problem if you buy in bulk and if they're way off spec mayday will send you more.

Mayday vs Fantasy Flight consistency
Fantasy Flight sleeves are generally considered comparable to Mayday's premium sleeves. If you bought Mayday penny sleeves (or Standard), then you can expect them to be thinner... Over two years of sleeving I've busted less than 10 sleeves. I've purchased over 10000 premium standard (poker) sized sleeves from Mayday. I've have maybe 2-3 packs of 50 come out noticeably smaller than the others.

Sizing and quality woes with Mayday
I'm learning the woes of card sleeves... Mayday sleeves have their own problems. Mainly their price is achieved by doing zero quality control, the buyer is expected to check the sleeves themselves and request replacements for any issues. Mayday standard sleeves aren't high quality and aren't meant to be high quality.

Dominion sleeves: Mayday vs Fantasy Flight
My Dominion sets are sleeved with Mayday standard Euro sleeves, but I did get a single pack of Fantasy Flight's Euro sleeves just to try them out. They're thicker than the Mayday standards. I think they're great, but ultimately a bit too expensive for me right now. I use FF's Euro sleeves... They're very consistent size-wise and durable – no replacements needed yet after a year or so of frequent play.

Mayday as best reasonably priced thick sleeves
I buy Mayday games premium sleeves these days, they are excellent and cheap... I use Mayday Premium if I only need a few packs for a specific game. Paladins and Dragon Shield are good too but harder to find and more expensive than Mayday. For something like Dominion where you can get to a thousand cards in just a few expansions, I use Sleeve Kings.
