I have the Baby Trend Trooper 3-in-1 and the harness adjuster is awful. It's so hard to tighten and loosen. I have to practically climb in the back seat to get it tight enough. Also, installing with the seatbelt is a pain, but it does fit 3 across in my Honda CR-V.

Fitting three across with Trooper Slim for twins and toddler
We have the Baby Trend Trooper Slim for our twins and it's been great for fitting 3 across in our Ford Escape. It's definitely a tight squeeze but doable. I like that it's lightweight and the fabric seems comfortable.

I bought the Trooper Slim specifically for travel because it's lightweight and FAA approved. It's been fine on planes, but installing it in rental cars is always a struggle. The belt path is so narrow and it's hard to get a tight install without a locking clip.

I'm deciding between the Baby Trend Trooper Slim and the Safety 1st Ellaris. I need to fit 3 across in a Toyota RAV4. The Trooper Slim is 17.75" wide and the Ellaris is 19".
