Alvababy pocket diapers: what inserts others FTM
I have alva baby pocket diapers and I bought the bamboo charcoal inserts, I think they are 5 layer. They work great! I also have some thirsties hemp inserts that I use for overnight. The microfiber that comes with alvas are crap, they will work for a while but eventually will leak.

Alvababy diapers good?
They are cheap and work just fine. I would highly recommend getting different inserts though. The microfiber ones they come with are garbage. I use flour sack towels and bamboo inserts. I've had my Alvas for 2.5 years and they are still going strong.

Why is Alva baby so cheap?
I had about 20 Alva's. They lasted maybe 8 months before the PUL started to delaminate. I had mostly solids, and from what I've heard, the solids delaminate faster than the prints. If you're going to get Alvas, get prints. But even then, delamination is common.

Alva baby inserts
The 5 layer bamboo inserts are decent but I prefer cotton prefolds. The microfiber they come with are useless. For my heavy wetter I do a cotton prefold wrapped around a thirsties hemp insert and it lasts 3+ hours.

Inserts for Noras/Alva
I use Alva and Nora's Nursery pockets. I stuff them with a small thirsties hemp insert and a thirsties cotton doubler. This combo is great. The bamboo inserts Alva sells are okay but I find they shrink a lot. I'd rather spend a bit more on thirsties.

Alvababy diapers?
I have both Alva and Mama Koala. I like Alva better because they have a bigger pocket opening in the back, making them easier to stuff. I use Green Mountain Diapers cotton inserts and they work perfectly. The Alva inserts are terrible, don't even bother.
