Got a travel system for a great price. Would recommend Kidsy.
Reddit Insights
6 threads · r/Velo, r/cycling, r/CerveloReddit cyclists widely regard the Elite Custom Race/X as the gold standard for secure, lightweight, and rattle-free bottle cages, though some find the grip too tight for easy access.
Overall sentiment is very positive due to the cage's secure hold, light weight, and Pro peloton ubiquity, with minor criticism about excessive tightness in some frames.

Compared To
vs Tacx Deva
Tacx Deva is another popular cage with secure hold, but some users report breakage; Elite is lighter and more durable.
vs Specialized Zee Cage
Zee Cage offers side entry and good grip, but some users prefer Elite for tighter hold and fewer bottle ejections.
vs Arundel Mandible
Arundel Mandible is a premium carbon cage with excellent retention, but Elite offers similar function at a lower price.
vs Titanium cages (e.g., King Cage)
Titanium cages are valued for durability and aesthetics but are heavier and more expensive; Elite is a lighter, cheaper alternative.

Consensus on water bottle cages for secure hold
Elite Custom Race is the default answer. They're cheap, light, and hold bottles very securely. I've never had a bottle eject, even on rough gravel descents. Tacx Deva is another good option but I've seen them break. Arundel Mandible is the ultimate but costs 3x more.

Recommendation for bottle cage that doesn't eject bottles
Elite Custom Race. They grip like a vice. I've never lost a bottle with them. After losing multiple bottles with other cages, these solved the problem. Only downside is they can be a bit tight to get bottles in and out, but that's the tradeoff for security.

Why pro teams use Fly Elite bottles
Elite bottles are aerodynamic and designed to work perfectly with Elite cages like Custom Race X. The combo is light, secure, and the bottles are easy to grab. Pro teams use them because they're reliable and the cages are already on most team bikes.

Bottle cage choice discussion
Elite Custom Race cages are my go-to. They're light (43g), hold bottles tight, and don't rattle. The new Custom Race X is even lighter (28.5g) and has better side access for small frames. I use them with Camelbak Podium bottles and they fit perfectly. Some find them too tight, but if you prioritize retention, they're the best.

Bottle cages for Cervelo bikes
I put the Elite Custom Race X in black/white on my Cervelo and they look fantastic. The matte finish matches the frame perfectly. They hold bottles securely and I've had zero issues over 2000 miles. Light and cheap—no reason to spend more.

Titanium bottle cage vs plastic alternatives
I considered a titanium cage but ended up with Elite Custom Race. They're a fraction of the cost, lighter, and hold bottles just as well. Unless you want a lifetime bling factor, there's no performance reason to go titanium. The Elite cages are on all my bikes now.
