Flowers getting better every time!
I was first introduced to Lego flowers last year when my husband bought me the red roses and was hooked straight away! I have now built several of the botanical range which I dot around the house for colour and talking points. I must say that each new one seems to get better in terms of realism and how it looks. The vases on this and the peach blossom are amazing, the best yet and I hope Lego keep adding to this range as I am well and truly hooked! It is a small build and doesn't take very long, but it is still fun and so clever how the pieces fit together. I have the two of them now displayed on a shelf in my kitchen as they add a lovely pop of colour. My favourites so far.
Chrysanthemum
Love the finished product. It was easy and fast to build. Have it in my china cabinet.
Fun and easy
I gave this to my 13 year old daughter and she loved it. She said it was easy to put together, but not too easy. She also had a good time putting it together.
Loving Lego's plants/flowers
I own almost all of Lego's plant/flower builds...they are mixed in with all my real plants around my house. This 'Mum' is a great addition. I love the gold on the pot and the 'fancy' feet. The build was nice for relaxation after a long day. The plant currently sits at the entrance to my office space as a nice pop of colour. I'm looking forward to seeing what other plant/flower builds Lego comes out with.

How long does this 278-piece Chrysanthemum set typically take to build for an average adult builder?
We typically see adult builders finish this 278‑piece Chrysanthemum in about 30–60 minutes. Reviewers call it a “small” and “easy/fast” build, so quicker builders may finish in ~20–30 minutes while others take up to an hour for a relaxed, mindful build.
customer_reviews, product_description
Is this set manageable for younger or less-experienced builders (for example, teenagers) despite the 18+ age recommendation?
Although this set carries an 18+ recommendation, it’s a relatively small 278‑piece build and the product description and customer reviews describe it as easy and quick to assemble. Several reviewers even say younger builders enjoyed it (one review mentions a 13‑year‑old), so teens and less‑experienced builders should be able to manage this set — we still recommend adult supervision for younger builders because it contains small parts.

Does the box include a brick separator or any specialized tool, or will I need to have one on hand to disassemble tight pieces?
This set does not include a brick separator or any specialized tool; the box contains the 278 pieces, the pastel-green pot with gold band, the wood-effect plinth, numbered bags and the instruction materials (digital instructions available via the LEGO Builder app). If you plan to separate tight connections you may want a brick separator on hand — LEGO sells the tool separately. [1] [2]

Is the gold band on the pastel-green flowerpot a metallic/printed element, or is it a sticker/foil applied to a standard piece?
We use actual metallic/gold‑lacquered LEGO elements for the band on this set’s pastel‑green pot — it’s not a sticker or foil. The band is formed from metallic/gold‑lacquered pieces (drum‑lacquered/metallic gold curved elements) that wrap around the pot. [1] [2]

Do the posable petal and leaf joints stay tight and hold poses over time, or do they tend to loosen/droop with handling?
We designed the Chrysanthemum with posable leaves and petals that are intended to hold their positions when used as décor, and the set’s parts hold poses well when displayed. Reviewers commonly report keeping the finished model in cabinets and on desks without mentioning drooping, so with normal light handling the joints stay tight. As with any small LEGO hinge, very frequent or rough repositioning over time can gradually loosen joints, so avoid constant heavy handling if you want the poses to remain firm.

Are there alternative build options or enough spare/extra elements in the set to create different flower arrangements, or is it designed only for the pictured chrysanthemum configuration?
This set is intended to build the chrysanthemum shown — it contains 278 pieces to make one full‑bloom flower, one blossoming flower and two buds and includes digital building instructions via the LEGO Builder app. The leaves and petals are posable and the pieces are compatible with other Botanical Collection sets, so you can rearrange and customize the blooms to create your own arrangements, but the box does not include official alternate build instructions.
product_description; product_features
Is the finished model intended for indoor display only (e.g., living room/china cabinet), or is it safe to display in humid areas or outdoors?
This LEGO Botanicals Chrysanthemum is intended as maintenance‑free home/office décor and is best displayed indoors (living room, china cabinet, office). It isn’t designed for outdoor or high‑humidity locations—prolonged moisture or direct sunlight can cause discoloration or warping of LEGO elements, so avoid bathrooms, patios, or exposed windowsills when displaying this set. [1] [2]

Does this set introduce any new or unique elements/colours compared with earlier LEGO Botanical sets (useful for collectors and part-swappers)?
Yes — this set does introduce some new colour variants that collectors and part‑swappers will appreciate. Rebrickable flags several parts in colours seen for the first time (for example a sand‑green 5×5×3⅓ dome top, new orange/reddish‑orange plant elements and an orange cupcake/flower centre, plus a reddish‑brown 1×2×2 design plate), and Brickset’s inventory also lists unique sand‑green elements for 10368.
