I have both the minu v3 and the vista v3. The only downside for having the minu as the main is that the vista rides SOO much smoother. We took the minu to Italy this summer and it was easy to carry around but man did I miss how smooth of a ride the vista is. But yes, the vista is a tank and would not be ideal for travel. Wish the minu had the option to attach better wheels (since they easily detach for travel).

Choosing Minu V3 for travel: ease of fold and warranty
FWIW, last weekend we went to Nordstrom and tried all of the top-ranking travel strollers and decided we liked the Minu V3 best... Part of the deciding factor was how easy is it to fold and pick up while holding baby. The super extra bonus is the travel bag that gives an extra year of warranty and they appear to overnight a replacement stroller if yours gets destroyed in transit.

Minu V3 for newborns in NYC: game-changer but not as smooth as Cruz
We have the Minu v3 but we got it when our baby was 6 months old. It is an incredible stroller for NYC. Game-changer. Yes it's great for pushing around the city - although the Uppababy Cruz is definitely superior if you want to go on long walks (bigger wheels/better suspension/more room for stuff underneath). I loved our Cruz with both babies, but we got the Minu v3 when we moved into a walk up. But honestly I don't know if I'd use the Minu v3 for the newborn phase.

Vista vs Minu: Minu for travel, Vista for rough terrain
I have both the vista and the minu. I would say keep the vista if that is what you are going to use most of the time. It is really good on most terrain. The Minu while being a standout travel stroller really will not compare to standard strollers on rough terrain.

We have a Minu V3 that we use as our main stroller... It’s so easy to use. Truly a one-handed operation... The Minu v3 is really light and easy to maneuver... The downsides: the under-carriage basket is tiny and not convenient to access... the stroller also isn’t sturdy enough to hang a bag on.
