Avent Ultra Air Pacifier is great

Recky1927

I’m a mom to 3 littles and my youngest is currently 10 months old. We received Avent Ultra Air Pacifiers size 6-18m as part of the stellar review product testing panel. Let me start off by saying my baby this time around has been very particular about pacifiers he likes so I wasn’t sure how this would go over with him. I was blown away by the fact he kept it in his mouth on day 1 for even just a few minutes at a time. After a few days he was using it for longer and longer stretches. The shape and weight of the pacifier are perfect for little mouths. It was easy for him to use and enjoy. He also likes the little handle and would use it himself to pop it back into his mouth. As a mom, I love the simplicity of the designs and also the more neutral colors. The pacifier material was soft and flexible so I’m not worried about him sleeping with it and getting hurt. The pacifiers also came with a carrying case which I think is a huge bonus ! I didn’t have to worry about them getting misplaced or dirty in the diaper bag while on the go. I will definitely be recommending these pacifiers to friends and family and can see myself purchasing the next size up if my baby is still using them at 18 months old.

WOW

AMAZING

I am a third time mama. My oldest is 10. I am SO upset these did not exist ten years ago! They are SO lightweight and breathable. My son is able to keep it in all night without it falling out. They glow in the dark with cute designs too! Disclaimer: I received the product through the Stellar Product Testing Panel!

Gentle breathable and baby approved

AdeK

I received the Philips Avent Ultra Air Pacifiers through the Stellar Product Testing Panel, and my little one and I have really enjoyed trying them out. These pacifiers are incredibly lightweight and soft, and my baby took to them right away. The extra large air holes in the shield make a noticeable difference, they allow plenty of airflow, which helps keep my baby’s skin dry and free from irritation. The shield is also smooth and flexible, so it rests comfortably on the face without leaving marks. I really appreciate the modern colors and simple designs, and I love that they’re made with planet friendly materials. It’s reassuring to know that they’re safe for my baby and produced with the environment in mind. The case that doubles as a sterilizer is another great feature. It’s so convenient for travel or quick cleanings, i just add a little water and pop it in hot water. Overall, these pacifiers are well made, practical, and baby approved. They strike a great balance between comfort, style, and sustainability, and I’d happily recommend them to other parents.

10 month old loves them

Emma

I wasn't sure what to expect, because my little guy is pretty particular when it comes to pacifiers. It's hit or miss whether he will take them, and he's typically not been partial to the more "traditional" shape of this style. To my surprise, though, he took to these immediately, even keeping one in all through a nap and for a while after waking. They are so lightweight that he can easily take them in or out of his mouth himself, which I think helps. I like that they don't trap as much drool against his skin as some designs. But what I really love is that the storage case doubles as a sterilizer. It makes it so much easier to keep them clean without having to boil a pot of water or run a whole bottle sterilizer! We will definitely replace these when they wear out. Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this pacifier set.

Soft gentle and easy to love

Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this Avent Ultra Air Pacifier set to try. My baby and I both really liked these pacifiers. They are super lightweight and easy for him to keep in his mouth. The shield has extra large airholes that keep his skin dry and prevent irritation. The soft flexible design feels gentle on his cheeks. I also like the simple modern colors and the fact that they are made with planet friendly materials. The travel case is a nice bonus since it can also be used as a sterilizer when we are on the go. Overall we were very happy with these pacifiers and will keep using them.

Top of the line binky

GirlDad2025

As an avid Philips Avent pacifier user since my daughter was born, her favorites so far have been the Philips avent ultra soft pacis. Thanks to the Stellar Product testing panel for allowing me the opportunity to try these pacis. These pacifiers are exactly the same as the ultra soft, however they are GREAT for nap/bed time because of the extra wide air holes that allow your baby’s skin to breathe. I noticed that with the ultra soft ones, my daughter gets a rash around her mouth from moisture, but she didn’t with these. The colors and designs are so cute, but neutral enough to be able to mix and match with outfits. I love the included sterilized case, it made it easy to ensure cleanliness for my baby. I also use it in the diaper bag to keep it clean. It’s an even bigger plus that they use planet-friendly material!

Cute useful and baby approved

Anna

I received this product as part of the Stella panel testing panel which was great because my baby was already set in her pacifier ways with her mam pacifier so I was interested to see how she’d transition. The transition was a breeze. The nipple shapes are pretty similar. The size is big enough to stay in her mouth but not overtake it. I can use the paci clips easily with these as well. I thought I wouldn’t like the glow in the dark aspect but it was actually useful for me to find late at night and not enough of a light to distract the baby. What I love the most though is the case. No need to go out a buy a pacifier case because these fit perfectly and double as a sterilizer. I love an all in one product. We haven’t had any extra gas or issues since switching pacifiers.

A MUST have for every parent

Osita

I received the Avent Ultra Air Pacifier 6–18m through the Stellar Product Testing Panel, and I’m so glad I did because it has quickly become my baby’s absolute favorite! From the very first use, he was obsessed; he gets so excited when he sees it, crawls toward it, plays with it, and even chews on it since he’s teething. It truly helps soothe and comfort him, and it’s become part of his daily routine. One of the biggest reasons I love this pacifier is the ultra-air shield design. The extra-large airholes and soft, flexible shape keep his skin comfortable and irritation-free; which is especially important because my baby has eczema. I’ve noticed that some pacifiers can make his skin red or irritated, but this one has been perfectly gentle on him. His cheeks stay clear and happy even after long use, which makes a huge difference. The colors and designs are beautiful; soft, modern, and stylish while still perfectly functional. I also appreciate that the pacifier is made with planet-friendly materials, which gives me peace of mind knowing it’s safe for him and environmentally conscious. The included case is another favorite feature it’s super convenient for outings and doubles as a sterilizer. I love being able to clean it quickly and easily by just adding water and microwaving it. It’s the kind of thoughtful detail that makes life easier for busy parents. Overall, the Avent Ultra Air Pacifier checks every box: it’s safe, soothing, easy to clean, gentle on sensitive skin, and loved by my baby. It’s a must-have in our home now. Thank you, Stellar Product Testing Panel, for letting us try this amazing product!

We Love the Philips AVENT Pacifiers

MamaBear

My little one and I are big fans of these AVENT pacifiers! The soft, flexible design makes them super comfortable, and the extra-large airholes in the shield are such a thoughtful detail — they let my baby’s skin breathe and prevent any irritation around the mouth. The colors and designs are adorable, simple, and modern — I love that they look cute without being too busy. It’s also a huge plus that they’re made with planet-friendly materials, which makes me feel even better about using them every day. The case is such a smart idea too — perfect for tossing in the diaper bag, and I love that it doubles as a sterilizer. It’s so convenient for on-the-go cleaning and peace of mind. Overall, these are definitely our go-to pacifiers — comfortable for baby, easy to clean, and designed with parents in mind!

Great paci

Laurel

My little loved this paci. She took to it great and I had comfort in knowing it was gentle on my babies skin. The air holes were great too. The best part was the carrying case that doubles as a sterilizer and the cute colors and patterns to choose from! Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this pacifier set.

Q

How many pacifiers fit inside one of the included sterilizer/carry cases at once for microwave sterilization?

Care InstructionshighWeb Search
A

We include travel sterilizer/carrying cases — each case is designed to sterilize up to 1–2 pacifiers at a time. The instructions specify adding 25 ml (0.9 fl oz) water and microwaving (for example, ~3 minutes at 750–1000 W) then allowing a 5-minute cooling period.

Philips Avent sterilizer/carrying case instruction manual (sterilization table and instructions).

Q

What material(s) are used for the pacifier shield and for the sterilizer/carry case (e.g., polypropylene)? Are those parts PVC‑ and phthalate‑free in addition to being BPA‑free?

SafetyhighWeb Search
A

The nipple is 100% food‑grade silicone; the pacifier shield and the included sterilizer/carry case are plastic (Philips lists the shield as “plastic” and the overall material split as ~80% plastic, 20% silicone). Philips also states these pacifier parts are BPA‑free and explicitly free from PVC and phthalates (they note the range is free from BPA, BPS, phthalate and PVC). [1][2][3]

Philips product page, Philips product passport/spec sheet and product instruction manual

Q

Does the pacifier include a ring or dedicated attachment point for clips, and if so what is the diameter or size specification so I can confirm clip compatibility?

CompatibilitymediumWeb Search
A

Yes — this Ultra Air pacifier includes a safety ring/handle that can be used as an attachment point. Philips’ product specs confirm the safety ring, but the manufacturer does not publish a ring diameter or internal opening size, so we can’t provide an exact measurement; to confirm clip compatibility please measure the ring opening on the pacifier or choose a clip with a flexible loop or adjustable fastener. Q

Which safety standards and tests does this pacifier meet (for example EN 1400, ASTM F963 or other regional pacifier standards)?

SafetyhighWeb Search
A

We don’t list EN 1400 or ASTM F963 for this item in our product documentation; the official Philips Avent product support page and user manual reference EN 12586 only for pacifier holders/clips and show the pacifiers are BPA‑free and sterilizable. The product manual and support page are the sources for these safety notes. [1][2]

Q

What is the brand recommendation for how often to replace the silicone nipple (timeframe or signs of wear/damage to look for)?

MaintenancehighWeb Search
A

We recommend replacing the silicone nipple of this Philips Avent Ultra Air pacifier every 4 weeks for hygiene, and sooner if it shows any sign of wear. Inspect before each use and replace immediately if you see tears, cracks, thinning/weak spots, discoloration, sticky/soft areas, or if the nipple becomes loose or separates from the shield.

Philips Avent product guidance pages and product datasheet (replacement after 4 weeks; inspect before each use; discard if damaged).

Q

Are these pacifiers recommended for breastfed babies (i.e., is the nipple shape designed to minimize nipple confusion), and has Philips Avent measured any impact on breastfeeding?

PerformancehighWeb Search
A

Yes — this Ultra Air pacifier is designed to be breast-friendly: its orthodontic, symmetrical textured 100% silicone nipple is made to mimic the feel of the breast and promote natural oral development, and Philips reports about 98% teat acceptance in consumer testing. Philips also advises waiting until breastfeeding is established (usually ~3–4 weeks) before introducing a pacifier; the brand publishes consumer acceptance data but does not present clinical studies showing an effect on breastfeeding duration, so the available Philips data address acceptance rather than measured breastfeeding outcomes. [1][2]

Official Philips product page (product_description, review_summary) and Philips parents guide (pacifier pros & cons / guidance on nipple confusion)

Q

Is there any noticeable factory smell or taste when the pacifiers are new, and does Philips recommend a specific first‑use soaking or wash routine beyond microwave sterilizing?

SensoryhighWeb Search
A

You should not notice a strong “factory” smell or taste from these — the nipple is 100% food‑grade (medical‑grade) silicone, which is inert and typically low‑odor. Philips recommends cleaning before first use: wash all parts with warm soapy water and then sterilize (either boil 5 minutes or use the included microwave sterilizer case). If you use the travel case, rinse pacifiers under cold tap water, add 25 ml (0.9 fl oz) water to the case, microwave 3 minutes at 700–1000 W, let it cool 5 minutes and pour out the water before giving to baby. [1][2][3]

Philips support 'How do I sterilize my Philips Avent pacifier?' (microwave steps) and Philips user manual (before-first-use & boil 5 minutes) plus Philips product page (material/sterilizer case).

Q

What are the shield dimensions (height and width) and weight, and is the shield size considered suitable for newborn faces without obstructing breathing or vision?

Fit And SizingmediumWeb Search
A

We don’t publish a per‑shield specification on the Philips product page; retailer listings report a shield/pack height of about 4 cm and a pack width listed as ~12.8 cm, and retail item weights cluster around ~40–47 g while Philips’ spec PDFs list net weights for multi‑packs around 0.24–0.27 kg. [1][2][3] This Avent Ultra Air set is labeled for 0–6 months and uses a lightweight, ventilated shield with extra‑large air holes specifically to keep skin drier and avoid obstructing breathing or vision when used as intended, so it’s designed to sit comfortably on newborn faces. [4] Note: exact single‑shield diameter and single‑pacifier weight are not published by Philips US, so the numbers above are taken from retailer/spec listings and Philips spec sheets and may reflect packaging or multi‑pack weights rather than a single shield measurement.
