If you want a ceramic tea pot I recommend looking for a stoneware teapot. Try searching amazon for 'RSVP stoneware teapot'. They are relatively inexpensive and are basically a ceramic pot. I would NOT put it directly on a heat source, but put a wire trivet on the burner and then turn it on low. Gradually increase the heat.
