We got the DreamMore, mattress flattened but it got the job done for the 4 months we used it. For $180 I won’t complain.

My understanding is that any added mattress pad or topper is unsafe for sleep... they (Graco) say no mattress pad for their bassinet, so I decided against it. but I was worried about the mattress and if it was too hard.

I’m thinking of going for the Graco dream more bassinet - it has adjustable height so works with tall beds and is affordable. Another option is the Halo bassinet but it’s $$.
DreamMore's creaking and locking noise issues noted
you will want to burn the Graco dream more bassinet because it makes SO MUCH CREAKING NOISE. The locking mechanism made a loud click that the baby heard and if the baby moved, it squeaked.
