We have a Safety 1st Easy Install Walk-Thru gate. It's pressure mounted, so not for the top of the stairs. Installation was easy, but the latch can be a bit finicky sometimes. Overall it does the job for between rooms.

Top of stairs gate recommendation; Safety 1st considered but not recommended for stairs.
I have the Safety 1st Easy Install Walk-Thru gate for the bottom of my stairs and it works fine. But for the top of the stairs you need a hardware-mounted gate. I got a Retract-a-Gate and it's way more secure. The Safety 1st is good value for the price though.
