My 3 year old loves it!

Kcrafty90

This potty seat has been enjoyable for my 3 year old to use, and it makes it easier/faster for him to get up on the toilet. I love the integrated splash guard, but I wish it wouldn’t pop out when I try to put the seat on the toilet. Also, it is a wee bit difficult to situate the potty seat onto the toilet; it takes me a few tries until it sits on there correctly. But other than those 2 things it is a wonderful potty training seat! It doesn’t slide around, and it is comfortable. I would recommend to others!

This is so nice!

Pyrolilly

This is by far the best potty seat I have had for my son to potty train with! I love how easy it is to clean and that the ladder is included on the seat. The ladder is such a great piece to the seat! No more fumbling around with the stool to get it in place. It folds nicely and fits right beside the toilet. Assembly was a little tricky for me but I got it all put together. I find that pee does not go under the seat like some of the other potty seats I have tried in the past. A+!

Awesome product

We’ve been trying to potty train our autistic 3year old for a few months, when he saw his new potty seat and didn’t have to ask for help he was so excited! Fairly easy to put together, easy to clean and doesn’t slip out from under him! Great product we feel it’s going to help a lot with his independence being able to go potty!!

Amazing potty seat

Great quality!

Great product! Very easy to assemble and set up in our bathroom. My toddler loves it! I also prefer the silicone cushion over leather ones. Easy to clean as well! Highly recommend!

Amazing!!!

Sa29

Love love this!! It’s so nice my daughter can independently use the bathroom at 3.5 because of this stool! Highly recommend!!!

Kids love it easy to use and assemble

Spencer

Works great kids love it, good way to transition from little potty to regular toilet. Only thing that didn't work out was the slide in flat piece to help position seat on the front of the toilet kept falling off so left if off after having to retrieve it from the toilet multiple times

Disappointed Customer

Elen

I have purchased Nuby products in the past and have been happy, which is why I'm so disappointed with this purchase. I'm not satisfied with this product at all. It feels so much cheaper and flimsy than I expected it would be, especially when it's a product a toddler will be using to climb up and sit on. The second step is slanted down way too much for my toddler to use to securely climb up, turn around, and sit on the seat. It doesn't fit well over the adult toilet seat, nor is it secure in any way, and the front of the toddler potty seat where the logo is has a brownish/orangey stain, which makes me wonder if what was sent to me was previously used. I also spent a very long time putting the seat together because I don't feel that the directions, specifically regarding attaching the brace to the seat, were at all clear or sufficient at explaining how exactly to do it. I'm just all around so very disappointed in this product and feel as though I wasted my money. I would honestly like to ask for it back so I can put it toward purchasing another potty seat.

Does the job

Amoreetutto

This potty seat seems more comfortable than many others because it has some padding on the seat. It also has more adjustability than many other seats. However, the angle the steps sit at is too close to the toilet for our particular toilets - there is barely enough space for my 3 year old to get up, turn around, and sit down. The step winds up falling mostly under the toilet bowl. The splash guard piece also falls off very easily - since my child is a girl it is less necessary, so after it fell in a potty full of pee once, I just removed it and we don't use that piece.

Amazing

First off the assembly was a little tricky but once you put everything together it went super fast . It’s very sturdy build once it’s put together and gives children security when used on the toilet ! My daughter use to use a little pink toilet but she wanted the ability to go on the big toilet like a big girl and this has helped her so much ! She loves this toilet and it’s so light weight that she herself can grab it and put it on the toilet by herself and climb up to use the restroom and climb down when done . Parents I highly recommend especially if you want them to potty on our toilets this will give them the security they need and make it fun with every time they have to go to the restroom .

Pretty good potty seat

EricaC38

My child enjoys using this potty seat because it allows him to be more independent. He can climb up and get down by himself. The seat was easy to assemble and can be quickly put on or taken off the toilet. The seat itself is comfy and has handles to hold on to. The only negative thing about this seat is the splash guard. It doesn't lock into place and during use, it falls into the toilet. I would suggest making an attached splash guard to prevent this. It's not ideal reaching into the toilet to retrieve it and I'm not sure if it could accidentally get flushed causing problems.

Great features!

This all-in-one potty seat topper is a great way to get a toddler used to the regular potty. This is comfortable for them, easy to use, and stores well. I love that my little guy feels like he is doing it all himself! He is so proud when he uses this! It's easy to move as well, especially if you have more than one bathroom in your home!

Great quality!

Nica

I love it! Very easy to assemble and the fold is not that big. Easy to assemble and I love that the seat is silicone rather than leather. It’s really comfortable and my toddler loves it.

vs BabyBjörn potty chair

The Nuby Step Ladder is preferred by a parent who found the BabyBjörn too low and annoying to empty; the Nuby solves that by using the big toilet.

vs Mayfair NextStep2 toilet seat with built-in toddler insert

A parent considered the Mayfair NextStep2 as a more permanent solution but chose the Nuby for its ladder which provides foot support and independence.

  • Mixed experiences with Nuby Step Ladder Potty Seat

We have the Nuby potty training ladder seat and I hate it. It moves around too much on the toilet and my son was scared to sit on it. The pee guard is also useless. It's also a pain to clean. Not a fan. // I love the Nuby! My daughter climbs up by herself and feels like a big kid. It fits our toilet perfectly and doesn't slip at all. I haven't had any issues with pee escaping. It's been a game changer for us.

  • Cleaning difficulties raised in science-based discussion

I have the Nuby one and while my son loves climbing up, I find it hard to clean. Pee gets under the cushion and in the crevices. We have to take it apart to really clean it. I wish I'd gotten a different one.

  • Nuby applauded for fostering independence in big potty transition

We have the Nuby potty ladder. My daughter loves climbing up and down herself. It saves my back from lifting her. It also folds up when we have guests. We also had the BabyBjörn but it was so low and annoying to empty. The Nuby was a great step up (pun intended) to the big potty.

  • Montessori-aligned parent chooses Nuby for independent toileting

I think a potty ladder like the Nuby one is great for Montessori because it gives the child independence. We have one and it's been wonderful. My son can go entirely by himself. I was looking at the Mayfair NextStep2 toilet seat but realized he wouldn't be able to climb up without a stool anyway. The ladder solves that.

  • Stability and pee guard issues highlighted by experienced parent

We got the Nuby one and honestly I wouldn't recommend it. My son was terrified of how wobbly it felt. The pee guard is a joke - pee goes right over it. We used it for about a week and then just got a little standalone potty. Now we use the Nuby just for travel but honestly I wish I'd saved my money.
