The Graco Modes Nest Travel System is a 3-in-1 stroller that functions as an infant car seat carrier, pramette, and toddler stroller. It includes the SnugRide 35 Lite Elite infant car seat (rear-facing, 4–35 lb, up to 32 inches) and features a Slide2Me height-adjustable seat, reversible seating, and an expandable storage basket. The lightweight aluminum frame supports children up to 50 lb; user reviews highlight its versatile bassinet mode, ample storage, and value compared to premium brands, though some note bulkiness when folded and that it is not intended for jogging.

Reddit parents widely praise the Graco Modes Nest Travel System for its versatile bassinet-to-seat design, smooth ride, and excellent value, though some note bulkiness and folding challenges.

Use Cases

  • Everyday walks and errands
  • Travel (domestic and international)
  • Diaper changes on-the-go

Watch Out For

mediumBulky even when folded; may not fit in smaller sedan trunks with both seat and bassinet stored.
lowNot a jogging stroller; wheels are smooth on pavement but not designed for rough trails.

Community Q&A

Is the bassinet mode safe for newborn sleep?
Yes, the seat converts to a fully flat bassinet suitable for newborns, allowing longer naps on walks.
How does it compare to premium strollers like Uppababy?
It offers similar functionality (bassinet, reversible seat, car seat compatibility) for much less, though materials feel less luxurious.
Is the fold easy?
Mixed; some find it easy but others say it's not the simplest one-handed fold; practice helps.

Compared To

vs Uppababy Vista

Uppababy feels more premium but is heavier and much more expensive; Graco offers similar features at a fraction of the cost.

vs Chicco KeyFit 30

Graco Modes Nest is cheaper and includes a bassinet, but Chicco is also reliable; users lean Graco for value and versatility.

  • Overall positive reviews and recommendations for Graco Nest

This is what we went for with our newborn it’s really easy to use and very portable and will grow with them. So far it’s been great with everyday walking around the wheels feel smooth and is relatively lightweight!

  • Love the bassinet for diaper changes and newborn comfort

I had the modes nest, and I don’t remember ever having a problem with the wheels. We used the bassinet probably until he was starting to sit up. It was nice that the bassinet part turned into the seat. There were many times we were out that we quickly converted it back to the bassinet setting to do a quick diaper change before going back to the seat setting.

  • Trusted travel companion for international trips

The Graco modes nest travel system was the best thing hands down that we've used for the past 2 years for our LO. Has a bassinet that converts to normal stroller, and clicks in the infant car seat. I love the huge storage space at the bottom and the snack tray (for toddler stage), and it folds very compact and nicely. We've used it for 2 international and several domestic trips and has never gotten damaged, broken, etc. Very reliable system overall.

    r/NewParentsView thread →

  • Prefer Graco over Chicco for value and bassinet feature

I got the Graco nest modes travel system and like it. I just really wanted the bassinet option because id prefer not to have the baby in a car seat for too long. The only downside I've had is that it's not the easiest to fold/unfold. It's also not a jogging Stoller but that's not something I'd need anyways.

    r/BuyingforbabyView thread →

  • Switched from Uppababy to Graco Nest and happy with value

We had an Uppababy with our first and while I loved the setup, it was indeed too bulky and heavy. We sold that and got a Graco Modes nest for our second on the way. The nest has the toddler seat which converts to a bassinet so only one piece needed there. The car seat can also lock in instead of the toddler seat, just like the Uppababy does! We haven’t used it yet but my husband noted it definitely doesn’t feel as “high end” as the Uppababy but it was also a major fraction of the price lol.
