Watch Out For
Community Q&A

- Yes, many users report surviving accidents with no injuries, though some note side-impact testing may lag European standards.
- How long can I use it?
- It transitions from rear-facing infant to backless booster, lasting up to 10 years, but some say it may expire before the child outgrows a booster.
- Is it easy to install?
- Installation can be challenging; some find the Nuna easier to install correctly. Graco's LATCH system helps but requires effort.
Compared To
vs Nuna Rava
Nuna Rava is seen as more comfortable and has higher safety standards (Euro testing), but Graco is more affordable and still reliable.
vs Evenflo 360

Parents of multiples discuss safety and longevity of Graco 4Ever vs rotating seats
I have the Graco forever and it's honestly not that bad if you need to take it out and move it around. ... We have four of these seats and love them. ... Was in a car accident with them and the kids were totally fine. ... The top 2 safety rated that year were the ones I bought. The Graco dlx (?) and the Nuna ravv. ... I would look at recalls and safety ratings for the rotating seats. When I was looking there were some open recalls on the top one for the lock wearing out/ folks forgetting to lock it back to the spot?

BabyBumpsCanada users weigh price vs features of Graco 4Ever
I just got the most cost effective one from the beginning. No infant car seat. Mine is a graco 4Ever dlx 4 in 1. ... US brands sometimes only go for US testing standards. Nuna goes for the US and Euro ones which have always been higher in my experience. ... US safety testing has historically focused on front impact and left out side impact. Also Euro regulations are more stringent on ease of 'correct' installation. I would say making sure the Graco was installed correct versus Nuna was a lot more time and effort.

Expert review highlights 10-year lifespan and booster limitations
The 4Ever was the first car seat to function well in all 4 modes... it’s suitable for children ranging from a 4 pound rear facing newborn all the way up through an 80 pound 10 year old in backless booster mode. ... While Graco markets this seat as the only seat you’ll ever need, we issue a small note of caution: children generally need a booster seat until they are around 4 feet 9 inches tall. That’s the size of a 10-12 year old. Since the 4Ever seat expires in 10 years, it will likely expire just before most children are ready to ride in a vehicle seat belt alone.

Costco thread confirms value and safety
I got whichever version of this is at Costco, have used it since we took him home from the hospital with no regrets! He's 2 now. ... We bought them Black Friday for 20% off. Was in a car accident with them and the kids were totally fine. They’re 4 now and find the seats comfy for long trips—my kids are tall. ... Graco makes solid, reliable, safe and affordable seats. Not the most stylish, but they worked for our budget and most importantly keep them safe.

Positive review marred by strap fraying after 3 months
I absolutely loved this seat. It's them up high. My kid really seems to like the new wonderful in the vehicle and light. My oldest kid spent 8 years in the one we had for them. I have always loved graco so i was not hesitant at all to buy this carseat. Should be a 5 star rating. Buuttt.. THREE months after purchasing I see that the strap is completely sliced right where the buckle sits in top of the hip. It's almost through the entire strap! I bought the carseat with the impression it would last 4EVER! Not three dang months!!

Head flop and safety concerns discussed in CanadianParents
I bought this for my son about a month ago and am so happy with my purchase. I love this car seat and it feels very safe. My only complaint is that his head sure flops around when he falls asleep. ... This car seat is 100% safe! We purchased this one when our son outgrew his infant car seat. Recently, my husband was in a car accident where he was T-boned, flipped, rolled, and every part of our SUV totaled, except this car seat. It remained the only thing untouched.
