I used the Comomy one as a cheaper alternative to the regalo. It’s pretty sturdy. My toddler hasn’t been able to pull/push it out of place. ... the latch is plastic and I can see how if I had a bigger kid, they could probably break it by yanking on the gate when it’s latched.

Baby gates that don't make you want to smash them
COMOMY extra wide gate. Have 2 of them. Highly recommend. They lock and can only be opened with the dual pull thing. But I have no issues opening them with one hand while holding a kid. They auto close.

Need an extra wide gate
We bought this one for our wide opening. Works well and has held up. Only complaint is that sometimes the auto close needs a little help to actually latch. But overall good.
