Watch Out For
Community Q&A
- Does the Angelcare fit in a kitchen sink?
- It depends on the sink size; many have found it doesn't fit, requiring use in the bathtub.
- How long can you use the Angelcare bath support?
- Up to about 6-10 months, or until the baby can sit up well or exceeds the weight limit (around 20 lbs).
- Is the Angelcare comfortable for newborns?
- Some find the plastic hard without extra cushioning, but the mesh is soft; adding a muslin or washcloth can help.
Compared To
vs Frida baby tub
Users preferred Angelcare over Frida due to Frida's slippery sling and mold issues; Angelcare is simpler and easier to clean.
vs Skip Hop whale tub
Skip Hop is more comfortable for newborns due to softer material but Angelcare is more secure and easier to dry.
vs Boon tub
Boon preferred by some for cradling a newborn better, but Angelcare is more widely recommended overall in the thread.

Most users fill water above max line to keep baby warm
I fill it so it covers his willy. I keep pouring water over him with a jug and I put my hand behind his bak to wash it. I also lift him up at the end so his facing down and wipe his bottom with the flannel. I love mine and wish I'd has one for my first son x

Angelcare praised for freeing hands to wash baby
To start with we just washed my daughter in a washing up bowl whilst she was still dinky. Once she outgrew that we used the angelcare bath support which was brilliant as we had both hands free to wash her.

Angelcare preferred over Frida due to mold and sling issues
We bought the Frida baby tub with our first and very much disliked it. The sling was slippery and it quickly got moldy and was impossible to keep clean. We just bought the angelcare tub in prep for baby number 2

Angelcare used up to 10+ months for larger babies
angelcare was perfectly adequate. It says to use it until 6 months but for our first (who was 85-90th percentile for height) we could use it until he was very good at sitting upright at around 10+ months.

Angelcare may not fit in sink and water level may leave baby cold
I fill up the tub with just enough water to submerge the bottom of the bath support, allowing my baby to splash her legs in the water and to keep her warm throughout bath time. It saves me from having to support her neck the whole time... It doesn’t fit in our kitchen sink, so we use it in our bathtub and it’s perfect.
