You jig it aggressively with sharp upward snaps and let it swim in circles on the fall. They hammer it on the pause. Also works in open water vertical jigging.

Last ice 2021 on Lake St. Clair. Pulled this walleye on a Rapala Jigging Rap size 7 in Fruit Punch. That color glows great in stained water and the aggressive ripping action drove them nuts. Caught a bunch of nice perch on it too.
