Community Q&A

Is the Wayb Pico worth the high price?
For frequent travelers with kids aged 2-4, especially if flying or using ride shares, the convenience often justifies the cost. For occasional use, cheaper options may suffice.
Is the short crotch buckle a deal-breaker?
It can cause discomfort and make buckling harder for bigger toddlers, but many parents find it manageable and still prefer the seat for its travel benefits.
How does the Pico compare to the Cosco Finale for travel?
Pico is more compact and easier to carry with its backpack bag, but Cosco Finale is cheaper and may be better if you only travel occasionally.

Compared To

vs Cosco Scenera

Cosco is far cheaper and lighter for rear-facing toddlers; Pico is better for forward-facing travel with older kids.

vs Ride Safer Travel Vest

The vest is an even lighter option for older kids (4+), but the Pico is safer and more contained for younger kids.

vs Immi Go

Immi Go requires a top tether; Pico does not, making it more flexible for international travel.

  • Comparing Wayb Pico vs Immi Go for travel flexibility

I commented in some groups that I chose the Wayb over the Immi Go car seat because a top tether is not required for installation, and a car seat lady gave me a whole shpiel about why a top tether is important. I get it’s important. The Wayb has it. But as you know, when you travel in countries where car seats are optional, you don’t get the benefit of top tethers in taxis/cars/shuttles. So at least I am able to put my 2 year old in a device that keeps him far safer than the alternative (my lap). I could not do that with the Immi Go.

  • Real-world one-bag family travel with Wayb Pico

fun. I packed light just the Way- we moved through... This is a great option! We have two for my toddlers. I would also recommend a WayB seat, super compact but check the limits cause I think it's meant for a bigger toddler. We use the Way-B Pico. It's lightweight, folds up, and has a carrying backpack.

  • Mixed reviews highlight crotch strap issue and convenience

We have a pico and it’s been great. Our kids are small giants. Can confirm the crotch strap is awful and makes it smaller/harder than it should be.

  • Choosing between Cosco Finale and Wayb Pico for travel

For the 2-5 crowd, the WayB Pico (FF only) is really nice. Also light, though you’ll want the backpack that’s another $80+ to store it if you’re going through airports. Kind of a B to install, but really compact and nice. For the 4+ crowd...the Ride Safer Travel Vest is amazing.
