I never see it recommended, so I’m just gonna throw out there that we bought the Maxi Cosi Tayla travel system and we’re obsessed with it. It’s incredibly light, feels durable and unlike the Uppababy Vista you can easily transition it from bassinet mode to stroller mode.
Worth of Maxi-Cosi and Nuna car seats
My first 2 used the maxi cosi. It's a very long seat, so even in large sedans and SUVs, the front seat needed to be moved forward to accommodate. I've heard that if you have a smaller car, the front seat is basically unusable with the maxi cosi.
Warning against Maxi-Cosi products
PSA to new parents: do not buy any Maxi Cosi car seat. They are overpriced and poorly designed. The material frays easily and the straps twist constantly. Customer service is a nightmare.
Thoughts on Maxi-Cosi Tayla 5-in-1 system
Ftm and we were gifted the silver cross reef 2. I love it and it feels so luxurious. I previously had purchased the maxi cosi tayla travel system bc I got it for a killer deal and wanted a second car seat. You can feel the difference in ride from both strollers but I appreciated how transformed into bassinet and seat easily.

I have the Maxi Cosi travel system and a compact SUV - Mitsubishi RVR and agree with this. It fits well in the back, but the passenger seat needs to be moved up extremely closely to the dash. I do like it overall though, I saw many reviews about the wheels being bad but it’s worked nicely for us.
Questions about new Maxi-Cosi 360 car seat
We used the maxi Cosi infant car seat as a travel car seat and it worked great. I think there's a Cosco one from Walmart that's also highly rated as a travel infant car seat. They are both light and very easy to install with just a seat belt and don't require a base.
