We have a couple of the Regalo mesh ones. They do the job well enough, and you can't beat the price. The only thing I really don't like is the bar at the bottom you have to step over. It's super annoying and every adult who visits has tripped on it.

Regalo extra-wide mesh gate works for large openings but needs secure installation
I used a Regalo expandable mesh gate for a very wide opening (about 4 feet). It worked great and was the only thing I could find that fit. You have to make sure you really crank down the pressure mounts, and I used the included wall cups for extra stability. After a few months it did start to loosen a bit, but overall it did the job.
