Ordered a gate prior to this one, UPS lost it on route. I reached out to Kidsy via email and they secured a refund from UPS. Was hesitant to order again, but I couldn't find the gate at a more reasonable price. 2nd order arrived with no issues. Gate is sturdy and the dog (Husky) hasn't gotten through it (he's an escape artist). Quick delivery from start to finish.

I fish Gama's for everything drop shot. I was #gamakatsu or die until Daiwa bought them. But I've gone through too many of the same VMC hooks for me to consider a switch. VMC quality has been better for me. I used to fish nothing but Gamakatsu, but the last couple of years it seems quality has gone downhill. I switched to VMC for most things, but I still use gammys for some things. VMC is awesome. I fish VMC for everything. I think their hooks are fantastic.

Discussion on new VMC Redline series hooks
I picked some of these up the other day. They seem pretty nice. They almost look coated in lead. I love Vmc hooks, they were always good hooks. I used some VMC flipping hooks back in the day. I bought 3 packs at the classic. Haven't got to fish them but they feel nice and sharp. Resin closed eye. 3 degree turned in point. Soft plastic keeper.

Speculation on whether Bass Pro Shops hooks are rebranded VMC
Definitely not. I mainly use gammys and the BPS hooks but I have used VMC some. The shank on the VMC is definitely different. Also the BPS hooks with the bent eye are diff. I'd say not VMC. I can tell you they are NOT VMC brand XPS hooks. VMC has 1 model that gets close and the ones BPS are contracting out the mfgr specifically for them. They might be from the same Factory but they are different molds.

Inline single hook sizing for 30-60g lures
I recommend size #6 hook for 30 grams and #1 hooks for 60 grams. For 30g: VMC 7236 #6. For 40g: VMC 7236 1/0. Also recommend Decoy single plugging hooks. For VMC, inline single 4X, sizes: 3/0 on 42g, 5/0 on 60-100g.

Troubleshooting fish loss on VMC EWG hooks
Could it be the hook isn't sharp enough out of the pack? I've caught a lot of fish on these (same hook, different sizes). No problems. VMC EWG are the worst imo. Get Owner or Gamakatsu. If you want a heavy wire hook there are much better options outside VMC. I always bend VMCs out on hook sets with braid.
