Great
The car seat fits in the car well. It's easy to hook up and take in and out of the car. It's great for my daughter who is super tall
Happy Grandma
The Extend2Fit car seat is absolutely perfect for this grandma. It is easy to get my grandson in and out of it. The car seat is very sturdy and I know that he is safe. The padding at the shoulders adds comfort to the seat. I like the fact that the car seat will grow along with him and that I won’t have to purchase another one. The price is very reasonable, especially if you have a discount code. I am extremely pleased with this purchase.
Hard buckle
Only complaint is I wish the buckle was easier to push.
Nice car seat
I am using Extend2Fit® 3-in-1 Car Seat for my 7 months old baby about 4 weeks. I found that my baby is much more comfortable in this seat that previous infant car seat. It comes with clear instructions for installation and it is very easy to install. Since it can be used for every stage of my child, I am hoping to using for long time. It became permanent seat in my car. As a parent, we both loved it.
Must have Car seat
This car seat gives my daughter a whole a lot of view outside the window, due to it is elavated. The color is perfect! Sturdy and amazes me because of it’s quality. A must have to all moms out there! Highly recommend.
Spend the money on a luxury brand
Hate this car seat so much. First time mom when I purchased and my son’s head hangs whenever he falls asleep. Had to remove the padding to clean because he puked and now can’t get it back correctly, model number isn’t coming up on the website to order replacement pad. So frustrating.
Stand out car seat
I picked this model because it can be in the rear facing position longer than other models. It’s great that it’s also an all in one booster seat.
It’s an investment bc it grows with you child!
We received the Extend2Fit 3-1 car seat from our baby registry (recommended by a good friend). The grey one called Ashton I believe. The instructions was confusing on how to properly install the car seat but after checking the car manual and watching some YouTube videos, then we got it. If you know how to install it, it takes only 5 mins. Also, there are these 2 plastic things that snap on/off the seat cover to get under. They easily fall off and can be lost but honestly, not 100% necessary in our opinion. We really love the buckle holders! Most importantly, this car seat grows with your child! Great feature instead of buying a specific newborn car seat only to get another car seat after a couple months.
Reddit Insights

While many users recommend the seat for its 50lb rear-facing limit and compact fit, there are recurring complaints about harness tightening difficulty and the booster mode being inferior to dedicated boosters.

Watch Out For
Community Q&A
- Is the 3-in-1 version worth it over the original Extend2Fit?
- The 3-in-1 adds a booster mode that is decent for booster training but may not last as long as a dedicated booster; it also has an easier-to-adjust harness. Worth it if you want the booster option.
- Does it fit in small cars or NYC taxis?
- Yes, when installed at the most upright recline, it is one of the most compact convertible seats front-to-back, making it a common recommendation for small cars and city living.
Compared To
vs Nuna Rava
Compared for ease of install and fabric quality; Nuna Rava preferred for easier install and nicer fabric, but Graco wins on value and compactness.
vs Clek Foonf
Clek Foonf is heavier and more expensive with a higher rear-facing limit (50lb) and narrower profile, but Graco Extend2Fit 3-in-1 is cheaper and lighter.
Source Threads
Hate the Extend2Fit harness tightening? Common complaint and workaround.
Does anyone else absolutely hate the tightening mechanism on this seat? It feels like it gets stuck constantly... It’s such a pain to get it tight enough. Sometimes I have to pull from the back while holding the adjuster button.

Extend2Fit vs 3-in-1: harness improvement and booster mode consideration.
The 3-in-1 has an improved harness adjustment (rollers) that makes tightening smoother. And the booster mode gives an extra stage, but dedicated boosters are better. It’s not necessary, but if you want the convenience of not buying another seat, it’s a good option.

NYC parents: Extend2Fit compact for city cars and ride shares.
I have the Graco Extend2Fit and it's been great. It fits in our small car (VW GTI) and I've used it in Ubers. It's compact when installed more upright. Highly recommend for city parents.

Nuna Rava vs Graco Extend2Fit: ease of install and fabric vs value.
Nuna Rava is far easier to install and the fabric is nicer. Graco gets the job done for a fraction of the price. If you need compact, Graco is better. If you want ‘luxury’ ease, go Rava.

Clek Foonf, Nuna Rava, or Graco Extend2Fit 3-in-1: weight, width, and rear-facing limits.
Clek Foonf is heavy, narrow, and expensive but has 50lb rear-facing. Graco Extend2Fit 3-in-1 is lighter, wider, and much cheaper. Nuna Rava is in between but cannot be used with LATCH in booster mode. For value and longevity, Graco is great.

Canadian praise for Extend2Fit: tall 2.5-year-old still rear-facing.
We love our Extend2Fit. My 2.5 year old is 99th percentile height and still rear-facing comfortably with the extension panel. It's also narrow enough to fit two in our Honda Civic.
