We got this North States one and I can confirm the low threshold is a game changer. I haven't tripped once. It auto closes behind you which is surprisingly convenient. Only thing is the latch feels a bit flimsy, like it might snap after a year or two. Way better than the Summer Infant one we had before.

General recommendation for hardware-mounted gates at top of stairs
Any gate you use at the top of stairs must be hardware mounted, never pressure mounted. North States gates are fine if properly installed. Make sure it swings away from stairs.
