New Safety 1st Easy Install Decor Tall & Wide Gate 36" Tall, 29"-47" Wide (Brown)

I don't like this gate because it doesn't latch on its own when closed. All my other gates will swing shut and latch on their own. It's also difficult to open and shut. This won't work for anyone that has multiple children in the home because the older children leave it open if it doesn't latch by itself. This was also the most expensive gate we have! It looks pretty but it does not function the way you need it to.

I love this gate, it was easy to put together and install in our wide doorway. My son on the other hand hates it as he can no longer play with the french doors where this gate is placed. But it keeps him from getting into the cat's food and litter box area and other areas we don't want him getting to for safety reasons (stairs, exterior door, basement door, etc).

This is one of the best gates we've used! Super easy to install, keeps the little one secure and out of places we don't want her wondering to. Simply push/pull locking system so it can't easily be opened by the little one, but simple for adults to operate. One nice point is that this gate looks very nice in almost any décor while still being highly functional.

We bought this gate to keep our White Golden Retriever puppy off the carpet. The latch became difficult quickly, hard to make the top and bottom depress at the same time. Lately it has become almost impossible. Now we are trying to figure out what to do because the gate cost too much to exchange. Not something I can recommend.

The only reason I did not give 5 starts is it is tricky enough to open and close that my friends or family have issues with it. but I guess that is the point! i love the color, I have had mine for years, looks great, has held up well, easy to clean

This a a great gate for stairs or just blocking off certain rooms...it's very hard to climb even at an older age because there's really no way to push up over it. As they get older they can learn how to open it but that's about it....I LOVE IT

The opening mechanism is too difficult and it feels like the parts inside are wearing out. It is only 5 months old and already I am thinking about buying a new one as the handle perhaps isnt meant to be used more than once daily.

Overall it looks like a great product however the plastic gate latch will become very hard to slide, and then the gate is either stuck open or closed. I would not buy this again

Love the look of this gate. Did a lot of research and most were big and bulky. I have narrow halls so did not want something that was huge. Easy to install and remove if needed.

I have bought two of these and both locks broke after a year of usage. I was looking to replace these locks, but couldn't find replacement locks anywhere.

The plastic latch broke after about 3 days if use! Very disappointed in the quality if this product, especially the latch. Junk!

Purchased 3 of these, the latches have quit working on 2 of them. Waiting on the 3rd one to become useless also.

I have two one works great. the other seems to have poor build quality. I struggle opening it.

We used this gate to block off stairs. Works for the baby and the dogs

Keeps the kid (and dog) off the stairs and out of the basement.

This gate has allows our toddler to safely run free on the second floor of our house. We converted our third floor attick space into a playroom and had a difficult time finding a sturdy-wide enough gate for the 45inch landing space. This gate not only fit nice and snug, but it's visuslly appealing as well. Our friends and family asked if it was "professionally" installed! It only took me 15mins to install and most importantly keeps baby safe.

This works well. I like how tall it is, perfectly at elbow height for myself. Only thing wrong is that the latch mechanisim gets stuck after a bit of use. I've tried opening it to fix it and it will work for a couple of times then go back to being stuck.

Its great because its extra wide, and looks nice with the "décor"

I was very happy and pleased with this gate. Overall looked very stutdy, fitted great and was working its purpose nicely, untill its lock broke down. The whole gate is metal made, but its lock part is plastic. Its lock which you have to slide to open the gate, broke. And now my elder son which is 4 can easily open it. I'm very disappointed with the lock part of this gate. Otherwise its really a good gate.

This gate looks awesome. However I needed to use the medium extensions for my gate but one of the extensions was shorter that the gate (photo attached). I am attempting to contact the company for a possible replacement. The gate is functional, with caution. I gave it three stars for now but will reconsider if problem is fixed.

I highly reccommend this product to any dog parent that is seeking an esthetically pleasing dog gate! It beautifully compliments my modern farmhouse decor. This gate is super easy to set up; took me less than 15 minutes. Most importantly, it's durable and keeps my dobermans and rascal puppy out of my office area.

Bought 2 gates and loved them when we first got them. They worked and looked great, but then after about 6 months the latch on one kept getting harder and harder to open it till eventually broke making the gate useless.

I just received 3 of these gates and the gates are poorly made. These unlatch way too easy, my last one felt like the handle was hard to open and the ones I just got makes it feel it is made out if cheap plastic. I was using these to keep my autistic grandchildren safely in their rooms but now I am not so sure if I want to keep them

The latch is the weak point - it lasted about two years before the plastic guts broke and we had to purchase a new gate. It's the only gate we've found that's wide and tall enough to keep our pets on the correct side of it and it's easy to install so we're fans, but would like better quality and durability on the latch mechanism.
