Graco SmartSense Baby Swing with Cry Detection (Rori)

This is by far the most technologically advanced piece of baby equipment I have ever used. The ability to detect baby’s cries is incredible! I have a busy and LOUD house, with two boys (8yr old and 5yr old), in addition to my 6wk old little girl. The swing can differentiate between my older children screaming/playing, and baby crying. It immediately will start to change the way it rocks/swings, and the soothing noises will kick on. I’d say it worked at soothing baby about 50% of the time. The infant insert is super soft and seems comfy enough. It doesn’t really add any additional support, just extra padding. I do wish the seat could recline a little more. Baby seems to be sitting pretty upright, and it creates difficulty in getting comfy enough to fall asleep. The toys are ok. The colors make it hard for my little one to see them very well, but I tape a black/white card to the mobile, and she’s super happy staring at that. Overall, I highly recommend this swing! The way it intuitively adjusts to comfort baby is incredible, and provides a little more time for me to get things done around the house. We received this swing through the Steller Product Testing Panel and we are so lucky that we did! We had a different, non-versitle swing prior to receiving the Smart Sense Soothing Swing and our 6 month old barely tolerated it. The Smart Sense Soothing Swing has been wonderful! Our baby loves it! He smiles when we put him in it, and is instantly soothed, even before we turn it on. There are so many options to choose from (from vibrating, to rocking, to swinging) and a wide assortment of sounds and noises to choose from if you so wish (we liked the nature sounds best!). The cry detect sensor works perfectly, though it was rarely needed, as our baby didn't make a sound while in this swing. The look of the Smart Sense Soothing Swing is very modern and features organic fabric. The neutral colors fit into any color scheme and the size isn't massive, so it fit in perfectly in our smaller living room where we used it the most. The infant insert is a great feature, and is still needed for our small 6 month old. Our little boy will fit in this swing for months to come, especially because we can take the insert out when he gets a little bigger. The little toys that come with the swing are a cute feature, but our little boy will likely get more use out of them in his hands, than on the extendable arm that overhangs the swing, but this is only because he is teething and likes things in his mouth. Once we found his favorite setting, all we have to do is set him up in the swing, and we are able to get so many things done while he rocks to his pure enjoyment. The only slightly negative thing we have to say about the Smart Sense Soothing Swing is that it is a little loud when in motion. However, if you put the sound on or have something else on in the background, you can barely hear it. Overall, I would give this swing more than 5 stars if it were an option. We absolutely love it, but more importantly our infant loves it.

I am SO grateful to have receive this swing from the Stellar Product Testing panel and I'm not just saying that. As of late my baby has been teething horribly and the only thing that really soothes her is being rocked back and forth consistently. She's a chunky baby so my arms are dead after a few minutes. The second we put her in this it immediately responded to her cries/whines and put her at ease. The chair is also shaped in a way where baby feels like they are being snuggled so I think that plays a huge role in making them comfortable. This product also gets extra points for not being too bulky! For all that it does, it fit well in our small living room and the light colors matched our homes aesthetic. It's cute and actually does what it says it will!

I received this product from the Stellar Product Testing Panel in exchange for my honest review. Upon receiving, I really enjoyed the modern style of the swing and the organic cotton newborn insert. My two month old son seemed very comfortable. It did come with two cute toys but I am not sure my son was able to see them just yet. If they were more contrasting colors that may have helped keep his attention. This swing also has SmartSense which detected when my son was crying and it would switch up the modes and settings to keep him calm. It worked some of the time, but I think the crying sensor should be more sensitive. By the time the swing would detect crying, my son was usually past the point of being soothed unless picked up. I wish it would have been able to detect his softer cries in the beginning. The Graco Smartsense Soothing Swing takes up less space than a standard baby swing and I really did not mind having it in our living room. It made it convenient to have my son in the swing while I was taking care of my older children (ages 5, 4, and 2). My baby is in the stage of wanting to be held constantly so I was grateful to have received this swing to give me a little extra time to get some chores done around the house. Overall, I think the swing is a great concept and with a change of the sensitivity of the SmartSense function would make it a really great option!

Thank you to Stellar testing panel for giving me this swing in exchange for my honest review .We've been using this swing for 10-15 minutes at a time if I need to prepare meals or do washing. He's glad he'll be in this swing for a shorter period. I enjoy the cry detection tool and the soothing sounds/motions. While my kid is crying, this setting alternates between various movements till the baby is happy again. It brought comfort to my baby.Some babies prefer side-to-side movements rather than backward and forward. Be aware that the motions in this swing do not include a side-to-side option.appreciate how little and space-efficient this swing is. It's surprisingly lightweight and portable throughout the house. The simple design is another feature I enjoy. Two toys are located on a toy bar. My infant hasn't given them any attention yet. However, he appears to be very comfortable.

I received the Smart Sense Soothing Swing as a part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel and it has changed my life for the better! Unlike many swings we've used in the past, my favorite part of this swing is that it offers three different incline positions reducing the reflux messes my baby makes post-feeds. In the case of a spit up mess, another excellent feature is the wipeable material used in the swing. My baby absolutely loves the different movement settings and the way the swing can detect her needs and respond accordingly. The design is sleek and aesthetically pleasing in my living room. I have already recommended this product to friends and will continue to do so in the future because it is simply that awesome!

The SmartSense Soothing Swing was very easy to set up and only took about 20 minutes for one person. The swing itself is modern looking and compact, the material on the seat is nice and soft, and although we haven’t had to yet, it seems like it would be easy to clean. My baby seems to enjoy it! It’s helping me be able to put him down and get things done around the house. The cry detection feature works well and the swing will cycle through the different settings in an attempt to soothe the baby. One downside I noticed about the cry detection feature is it will oftentimes switch settings once baby has settled, which can result in him getting fussy again. My favorite part about the swing is that there are a lot of settings to choose from, which allows us to find the perfect combination to keep him content. He started using it at 2 weeks old, and he fits in it comfortably with the infant insert. Hoping he continues to love it, and that it keeps working for us! This swing is a life saver!! My baby cries anytime I put him down and this has made my life so difficult. Finally, a swing that he loves!!! I cannot believe how much hand-free time I now have. Here are some of the things I really appreciate about it. Firstly, this swing is beautiful. It looks so nice in my family room and fits in with my modern decor. Secondly, it is super comfortable for my baby. He is safe and cozy in it. Lastly and most importantly, he is calm and loves the swing’s movement. It is gentle and soothing. Thank you to the Stellar Panel for sending me this swing! For a third baby, we definitely need a spot to set her down while I take care of the other 2 kiddos, and this swing is perfect for that. The cry detector feature is a great addition- it definitely worked to calm her down with varied noises and would switch up swing directions and speeds to calm her down. The one negative to the cry detect- is if there are other siblings yelling/crying, it set it off a few times into a much quicker pace when she was totally chill and hanging out which was a little startling for her. The design is compact, modern, and perfect to add to a space with no loud colors or designs. The swing seems reclined back compared to others we have tried, but our girl was comfortable in it throughout. The shoulder pads are an excellent comfort feature too. We have a three week old, and today for the first time she started paying attention to the toys on the bar! They are a nice additional feature. My only negatives to the swing- it takes a while to turn on (it does an intro with the cry detect feature on the screen- which with a crying baby is not ideal when you just want the swing to start swinging!) and when on the straight back and forth swing, the swing kind of hits the front and makes a noise which is annoying. That is only on the highest speed though. It was also a pain for set up, but the infant insert and seat cloth itself are easily removed for cleaning which is great when the baby is little and messes happen often! Overall- I am super happy with this swing, it has great features, is compact, and is a perfect addition to our living room to give us some hands free time when balancing three kids.

Thanks to Stellar product testing panel,I was able to try this smart sense soothing swing by Graco! To start, I am a mother of 5 kids and I have had my share of different types of swings. This is by far the most high tech swing I’ve owned. I was excited about this product because I need to be hands free at certain times, so it’s nice to have a safe and effective device that my infant enjoys. Initially when I placed my infant in the swing, she was crying so I thought I’d try the “cry detection” mode. Unfortunately my baby was not a fan and was not soothed by this feature. I have placed her in the swing while she’s content and she seemed to really enjoy it and stayed in the swing for a longer amount of time happy and content. I was impressed with the multiple features such as the different “swing motion modes” and the different sounds its plays. The appearance is also appealing with the organic material infant insert and the overall display. Overall, I like the swing. I rated the swing 4 stars due to the cry detection mode not being as successful as I’d hoped. I think I need more time to continue to test the cry detection mode with my infant. The few times I’ve tried it wasn’t very successful, but again my infant does stay content while in it which is wonderful!

I received this product as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. I was initially skeptical of how well it would go over for our baby because we already had a chair that she liked well enough to spend some time in it but she didn’t exactly love being in a container and she wouldn’t stay there for long. In a short period of time, this has become her new favorite spot to sit and the old chair is out! My LO is 10 weeks at the time of testing and we are using the infant insert. The cry detection feature works well to keep switching things up if she gets upset - verified while cooking and couldn’t pick her up for a few minutes and this calmed her by the time my hands were free. It doesn’t register light fussing but will adjust for strong and loud cries. The swing looks nice in our space and as a beige mom I appreciate the muted colors. Even my husband commented quickly that it looks nicer than our current chair which is bold black and white. I haven’t had to wash it yet but the cotton infant insert seems that it will hold up well in the wash. The seat cover is a bit difficult to put on and probably will be equally difficult to take off. The buttons are difficult to snap. I also don’t love the material of the seat cover but time will tell how well it holds up. This product could be improved with a stronger fabric and more of a padded feel like some other brands of swings/rockers. However, babe does seem to be quite comfortable in the seat. She falls asleep here frequently. I appreciate the easy option to tip the chair back so I worry less about her head tilting down. Cons: putting the chair together is a bit tedious and there were areas of the instructions that were not as clear as they could be. The button for the harness is difficult to press when engaged so I could see this being a problem for someone with limited hand strength. For the price of this item, I would expect more control over the swing through technology like Bluetooth. Overall we love this swing and it has turned into a staple for our family!

This swing has surpassed all expectations. I am an experienced mom, just recently having my 6th kiddo last month, and I thought I knew exactly what I needed in that important 4th trimester- I was wrong. This swing was not on my radar, but it has quickly become an absolute staple in my daily routine. The worst thing about this swing is that I can only use it twice a day for 30 minutes at a time (per recommendations of the American Academy of Pediatrics). My newborn is a velcro baby, which is great as I love the cuddles, but it makes it hard to do things with my other kiddos sometimes even with baby wearing. With this swing I am able to get 30 solid minutes to sit down at the table and do schoolwork, or cook and not worry about my son being near the heat, or other things that are just easier to do without holding my youngest. The swing is also super easy to move from room to room, so I can set it up wherever I need and watch my son while he's in it- just make sure to move it from the base! My favorite things about this swing are the following: One, the materials are 100% organic cotton so I don't need to worry about any harmful fabrics touching my son's sensitive and gentle skin. Two, the swing is super easy to clean- you simply throw the cover and insert in the wash. Three, the variety of motions to choose from made it extremely easy to find one that worked for my son (the top motion was our winner!). Four, it is so customizable it's insane. I can choose the motion type, the speed, add vibrations (which I can also choose from a variety of levels), and select either music, white noise, or nature sounds which all include a variety of sound options and volume control. Five, the swing REMEMBERS which settings it was on when I turn it back on. I found the perfect settings for my son and I haven't had to touch them since, Six, when you turn the swing off, it turns off nearly instantly. I've had swings where you had to wait 5-10 seconds for it to stop swinging so you could pull your kiddo out, but that is not the case here. It stops nearly instantly, without any sudden lurches, just a smooth coast to the stationary position. Finally, it is comfortable for my baby and he seems so happy in it. It is also the first time he has paid attention to toys in the mobile, and it is so cute watching him stare at them. A few things about this swing that I don't like or think have room for improvement: First, the mobile sticks almost straight up. I'm not sure if I got a defective one, as it doesn't look like the photos, but it it a bit strange looking and leads to the bunny jittering about in an almost seizing motion. However, my son loves them so even if it's not supposed to be this way, it seems to work for him. Second, since the recommended time in a swing is so short, the cry detection wasn't a feature I found myself using very often. I think the concept is really cool, just not as useful as I was initially thinking it would be. Third, this swing is so gosh darn good at his job that my son tries to fall asleep in it at least once a day. Since sleep is not recommended in the swing, this means I have to wake him up and move him, which isn't a huge deal but is definitely disappointing when it is almost better than I am at getting him to sleep. On the plus side, that means this swing is very comforting and relaxing, which makes me feel better about the hour he spends in it a day while I get other things done. Overall, even the 3 "negatives" I have are really positives in my home. I am so thankful to Graco for creating such a well thought out product, and for prioritizing the 100% organic cotton. I was given this swing to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. I'll start with aesthetics - this swing is gorgeous. It's compact, doesn't take up a ton of room, and it looks way more expensive than it is. I would have guessed it was one of those designer baby products at first glance. My son (5 months) has bad reflux so I was so excited to try this out. He likes it! I will say, like any baby product, it does not have a 100% effective rate, ha. Sometimes it soothes him almost instantly, sometimes it takes a minute, sometimes it's an absolute no go. But any extra hands free time is so worth it, especially with two toddlers around! He loves the sounds - mostly the one that sounds like a heartbeat. When it works, he just sits there and gazes at the toys with a serene smile on his face. I do have to put it on the highest swing momentum setting every time. I also wish it had more of a side-to-side function, but that doesn't seem to bother him too much. I'm not sure that the cry detect feature is a game changer....when he starts crying in it, he doesn't stop until I get him out. No automatic change in swing mode does the trick. One more plus is the buckle - it's the kind that totally releases when you press the button...you don't have to wrestle the baby's arms free. It takes a bit more effort to buckle but once I got the hang of it, it is worth it for the easy exit! Overall, I love this swing. It's a bit pricey so I probably wouldn't have paid that for my 3rd child knowing that swings are such a hit-or-miss item depending on the baby, but if it had been out when I had my first I absolutely would have since I could amortize it over 3 kids. And it's the best looking baby swing I've ever seen.

I was skeptical when I received this swing from Stellar to test. My baby has never liked the older swing that we have and I was sure this would be no different. Boy was I wrong! Until we tried this swing, J was being held most of the time in our arms. It turns out that the white noise option is so soothing at night and this swing allows for hundreds of combinations of positions, motions, vibrations and music using white noise background. It actually listens for J’s cries and then responds with our baby’s favorite motions. This is not the large and clumsy basic baby swing that I would have expected from Graco. This Graco SmartSense Soothing Baby Swing is a lean swing, noise machine and technology marvel all rolled into one neat package. The state of the art technology listens for J’s crying and in a split second responds to help soothe J. Unbelievably, this swing combines a myriad of gentle motions, vibrations, white noise and/or music to help me work during the day while J can rest happily and at night, this swing helps J fall asleep. The futuristic design of this swing is comfortable and minimalistic and I am ecstatic that it doesn’t take up my entire family room as did my older swing. With its tiny footprint, it can rock, swing, cradle, and glide so that J almost feels like in my arms. And, all that touches J’s skin is washable and organic, so Dad is thrilled and J stays comfortable and clean while being comforted and cuddled with this swing. J loves the comfy insert and the neutral toys. Graco really nailed this design! This has become a most valuable piece of baby gear for us, offering us plenty of hands-free time, while offering J snuggly comfort and lots of soothing options. My favorite feature is the organic cotton cover which is washable and preferred over synthetics. Compared to the swing I used with my older child, this one has so many more features such as cry detection, but also way more swing styles. My infant enjoyed having a variety of options for swinging and it let us enjoy the swing for soothing and excitement, depending on the need. I also liked that this swing had a higher and more comfortable basin / insert than others. It is rather bulky and heavy, but the benefit is two fold compared to other models - one, it doesn’t have a wide base which is amazing if you’ve ever tripped over a swing leg on the widespread style you know what I mean…and two, it has fun dangling characters without a bulky overhead unit, which made getting my infant into the swing a breeze and much less Tetris like than other swings I’ve had. A feature the baby doesn’t care about, but I do as a mother, is that it is aesthetically pleasing and was something I was happy to have in our living space. The design is very neutral which allowed it to transition to any of the areas of my home I wanted to use it in. An added benefit is the song selection: I was pleased with the quality of the music and the song choices, as well as the fact that it didn’t just auto replay the same two tinny songs. It actually has classical music playlist which is great, besides the white noise styles. The swing motion (there are four swing styles and three recline positions to choose from) with the added cry detection gave me some of the much needed hands free time to tackle making a meal or folding teeny laundry. Overall I’d say I’m very happy with this item.

This swing was fairly easy to assemble, and the neutral colors make it a great safe place to set down your baby as a fixture in any room of your home without taking too much away from the current decor. The cushions are soft, and the straps are easy to adjust. The built in toy is great, and a feature my daughter loves. The soothing sounds are a huge convenience to have built right in, and we trialed a few, all of which the baby likes. Our daughter just turned 6 months old so she enjoyed the swing for a while, but was eager to get back to sitting upright and working on transfers to and from her tummy. She was very content and happy in this swing for periods of time and I wish I had it when she was a newborn so I could speak more to having it for a newborn or tiny infant, but she still very much enjoyed the seat. We are grateful to have the opportunity to try this swing as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel.

We received our swing as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel and were excited to see how it compared to other options. For starters, it only took me 15-20 minutes to put together, even with a very curious toddler trying to 'help' - so very easy to assemble! The look and design are very pretty and with clean lines and simple colors. The infant insert is white, which is a little precarious for my little guy who loves a good blowout in a swing. He's also on the larger size and I didn't feel like the infant insert gave all that much more support, so I'm not sure how well it would work out for smaller babies. The shape of the swing itself is very deep comparatively, so it took some adjusting for us to find the most comfortable positioning for him. But we loved the ability to make the swing more upright or reclined based on our needs. The cry detect feature was top notch! More often than not it kept our guy comfortable and less fussy for the time we needed him to be in the swing. The sounds were simple enough that I also wasn’t bothered by them either. Overall, we’ve really enjoyed the addition of the swing and like the option of a safe and comfortable place to put the baby down when needed.

This swing is truly a luxury baby product! It is sleek and beautiful, not something that will totally kill the aesthetic in your space. It’s not too huge either, making it a great option even for smaller apartments or homes. The construction is super solid - baby is safe and comfortable in the swing. There’s soooo many options - 4 swing settings, vibration, cry detection, sounds - that you can really personalize it to baby’s preferences and moods. We were getting huge smiles from baby the second we put him in the swing. It definitely helps soothe him, and the cry detection feature makes all the difference. He calmed down right away! Overall this is not only a beautiful piece of baby gear, but an incredibly helpful and practical one as well!! I’m declaring it a must-have! Gifted by stellar product testing panel for my honest review. Pretty straight forward to use. Directions are easy to follow to put the swing together. I really like that the cover and cushion is machine washable for easy clean up. Really love that it has 3 different recline positions. It really made a difference in baby’s comfort level and how quick he got to that content state. This swing really has a lot of different features and options between different swing motions, vibration levels and music options. The “cry detect” feature is really interesting. It detects your baby crying about 30 seconds after the crying starts and begins going through different modes of swing and songs until the baby stops crying and settles on the combination that was playing when the baby stops crying. I was pretty impressed that within a minute my baby had stopped crying and was content after putting him in the swing. The swing is a lot more compact then other swings available and looks really nice rather then a bulky eye sore. I like that the mobile can be moved to either side. It’s a little basic but still looks nice and functions as intended. I would say that the touch screen is nice but is on the base of the swing and almost to the floor. I would have loved an optional remote so I wouldn’t have to bend over so far to toggle the different features. Also, even with the insert it’s a little too big for a 6lb baby. Overall I love this swing. It’s looks nice, has so many different features, and is not only convenient for me but baby is loving it too! Really an upgrade from a basic swing!

I am so grateful that I received this swing from the Stellar Review Testing Panel, as it has become the most used baby item in our house! I truly couldn't be happier with this swing. The design is well-thought out. The swing is mostly white and gray, and thus fits in with the decor of any room in the house. The base is compact under the swing, without any legs extending out from it to take up extra space or provide a tripping hazard. The seat insert is made of organic cotton and feels so soft and cozy to the touch. The pads on the shoulder harness are just as soft. My 3-month old absolutely loves this swing and appears very comfortable in it. The harness is easily adjustable to ensure a secure fit. The toys on the toy bar are cute and engaging to Baby. The convenience of the swing is unmatched. There are seemingly endless possibilities of modes and sounds, with swing, rock, cradle, and glide motions, as well as several tracks each of white noise and calming music. The cry detection feature is simply amazing. To be honest, it took several times of using the swing to get to try this feature out, due to my baby loving this swing so much. It detects even the slightest of cries and whimpers and begins changing movements and sounds, like a parent would when holding their baby, until baby is calmed. I was impressed at the swing's ability to calm my baby through the cry detection feature. Another of my favorite features this swing has is the seat vibration, as both of my boys have calmed through vibration. I have certainly gained hands-free time to complete household tasks and meet the needs of my other toddler since receiving this swing. It will hands-down be at the top of my list to recommend to other parents!

I received the SmartSense Soothing Swing as part of a Stellar Product Testing Panel and I'm obsessed. My son just turned 5 months old and I wish we had this swing from day 1. It has been such an amazing addition and my son loves it. The multiple different sound settings, especially the music and heartbeat options, help him stay super relaxed and calm. There are multiple different swing motion settings as well, all of which he seems to enjoy. I'm actually able to enjoy and finish a cup of coffee in the mornings now! The cry detect feature is amazing too. While it doesn't sooth my baby for long if he's super worked up, the constant changing of swing motions and different sounds definitely helps calm him down for a few minutes each time until I can come and see to his needs. The three point safety harness makes getting him in and out a breeze. No more getting arms caught in straps. The look and design of the swing is also super chic and fits in nicely to a corner of our living room. If my 5 .month old still fits in with plenty of room and loves to hangout, I feel like it has a ton of longevity, which is not always the case with baby products, making it even more worth it in my book. Overall, I would definitely recommend getting this swing!!

I am reviewing this for the Stellar Product Testing Panel. I switched to using this from a very old version of a baby rocker with no bells or whistles, so this really feels like a luxury upgrade! The fabric has a smooth neoprene feel and unsnaps SO easily for washing. And the infant insert is organic cotton and super soft. Love that the details feel so high quality on this. The toy bar is pretty basic, but I actually prefer that because it is less likely to overstimulate my little one. I got mine in a creamy stone color, so no garish colors to clash with my decor. Overall this is well designed and super useful for soothing baby when you need an extra set of hands. The biggest selling point for me is how many different modes and features it has! Of the motion settings I like the rocking and the gliding the best. The other two are a little bit too choppy for my baby, but some babies might like that better. It’s nice to have options! I like that it has a sound machine built in and there are so many sounds to cycle through. I also love that there are two vibration settings. My little one doesn’t like it if it’s too strong and prefers the lower setting. This is the first product I’ve ever used with built-in cry detection, and I have mixed feelings about it. It’s a cool feature, and it definitely responds to baby’s movements, but I felt sometimes like it was *too* sensitive and cycled through different movements and sounds too fast/frequently. But there were also times I felt like the changing movements kept the baby entertained and interested. So, like I said—mixed feelings on that. Ultimately this is a game-changer item for me. I have two other little ones and there is often not enough of me to go around, and this has been the perfect solution for when baby needs extra movement and soothing while mommy is busy with the other two.

My little one is now just over 2 weeks old and we started using his swing when she was just a few days old. There are SO many different options for motion, vibration, and sound settings. The buttons are easy to use and the screen is clear and easy to see. The cry detecting feature works well and detected my baby fussing pretty accurately and quickly changed through a variety of settings to try to see what would soothe baby without me needing to change any settings. I love that if I am busy doing something like cooking, interacting with my 3 other children, folding laundry, etc. I can give the swing a moment to see if it will settle my baby before I determine if she needs me right away or if I can quickly finish my task. My only complaint about the cry detection is that it picked up the noise of our hand vacuum I was using to sweep up a few of my toddlers lunch crumbs and it started trying to soothe my perfectly calm baby because it picked up the vacuum noise as her fussing. I've not noticed any issues with other typical household noises, so not a huge deal, but something to consider. I love the aesthetic of this swing and the toys! It is very neutral and would match any household decor. I also really appreciate the use of organic cotton for the newborn insert, as we try to use organic or at least more natural materials on our babies whenever possible. The newborn insert did seem rather large in the upper area and my babies head would slump to one side or the other at times and I would have to adjust her a little bit. For reference, my baby was 10 lbs at birth, so I feel like tiny babies may need a bit more head support than what this provides. That being said, I feel like the swing will have plenty of room for baby to grow until she meets the size limits of it.

The SmartSense baby swing has been so helpful with our newborn. It helps to give us a little hands free time and our baby loves to look at the toys and kick her legs while she swings! I truly love this swing and all of its features! When walking into a room, it is actually a very aesthetically pleasing swing. Personally, I like neutrals and don't want something with bright colors taking up the entire room. It's soft white compliments any room I decide to put it in in my home. Even the toys on the mobile are soft and pretty. My son is 5 months old and the infant insert perfectly cradled him so he felt comfortable and happy. I really love the way the harness is connected. No need to maneuver his arms in awkward positions. I just put him in, watch him smile and then connect around him. Same with taking him out. I had never seen the 3 piece harness and really love it! Another great feature of taking him in and out is the mobile easily moves back and forth so I don't accidentally bonk his head. Now for the actual features of the swing: there are so many! It's really great how it can go in so many directions and motions based on what my baby needs in that moment. I'd say his favorite feature is front to back and with the vibrations on high! A nice surprise were all of the sound options. Again, based on what my baby needs in the moment it is there. If he needs to be calmed, I usually opt for white noise but if he is alert and I just need to be hands free for a few minutes he and I both really enjoy the music. The only feature that hasn't been a home run is the cry detect feature. I think it is just too much for him and over stimulates. If he gets upset I will just put on a feature I know he already likes, such as the vibrations. This swing has helped me give my baby a place to be safely put down while I can get some tasks done. All of the fabric and components look and feel like quality products. The thing I love most about this swing is how compact it is. Most baby swings have a wide stance and take up so much of your room just waiting for you to trip over them. This swing takes up minimal space and eliminates that bulky look. I love the sleek design of the swing. The infant insert provides comfort for my little one and the restraint system is a unique but easy to use design that keeps my baby secure but comfortable. This swing has many different motion features and settings which I love because my baby is always wanting a different sound or motion and this swing provides many options. I do wish this swing offered side to side motion instead of only front and back motions. It is equipped with a cry detection feature which in theory is a great idea, however, I found that the sensitivity of the cry detection was lacking and even if my baby was crying pretty loudly, it wouldn’t always detect it. Overall I would definitely recommend this swing to anybody looking for a high quality experience for them and their baby.

The materials are very soft and cozy for my little one and I LOVE that the insert is made from organic cotton. The vibration and swing speeds are everything my baby needs to feel comfortable when I need to put her in a safe space. My favorite feature is the cry detection. Sometimes when I’m cooking I can’t run to the swing to turn it back on, but with cry detection the swing automatically turn on to sooth my baby. I received the Gracie Soothsense swing as a part of stellar reviews and am absolutely in love. I currently have a bouncer chair which is great but it involves me manually bouncing my son Lincoln and he’s never been fine in it while I walk away. This swing is a life saver. My baby never lets me put him down for naps (or anything!) and this swing immediately rocked him to sleep during those over tired days. If I’m nearby, I’ll make it super cozy with a blanket under him and am shocked and thrilled that he’s consent swinging in it and just looking around. The different motions are helpful and I’m still figuring out which he likes most. I do notice he doesn’t seem to pay much attention to the hanging toys and with there was a rotating option for those as well- similar to a mobile. The only other change I would love is if I could start, stop, or change the swing motion with my phone or a remote. Sometimes he’ll doze off and I’ll want to stop the swing so he can settle into a sleep but am worried about waking him as I come close. All in all an exceptional product that my son loves and allows me to move around the house without sobs after I put him down.

I have a very active 6 M.O. that is always wanting to move around and explore, so I wasn't sure how well this swing would fit into our lives, especially since our little one was no longer tolerating our other swing. Surprisingly AND THANKFULLY, he loves this swing!!! First, he is about 27 inches and 18 pounds, so I wasn't sure how well he would fit into another motorized swing, since he was almost maxed out of our other one. The great thing about this swing is that its swing/seat is bigger and deeper, which holds our baby very comfortably. It also has a higher weight max which is sooooo nice!!! You don't see that a lot I these types of swings, which is a real bummer. Second, I was nervous that my baby was kind of "done" with these types of swings, since they can be "confining" for a baby that wants to be constantly moving, but the variety of movements ... plus the vibration feature ... plus the white noise sound are so soothing and comforting to him. For a baby that sleeps well at night but does not nap well at all, this swing has been a lifesaver for helping our baby wind down for naps. It's also been nice for entertaining our baby for short periods of time. The hanging toys are just out of reach for our baby's arms and are a nice feature. Not sure if younger babies would be able to see the toys though, as they are very muted in color. Just something to think about. Third, I love the aesthetic of this swing. The white could be risky for babies, but I personally have found that light colors hide spit up really well ... making this the perfect color for me and my GERD prone baby. Now, blowouts on the other hand ... just hoping I don't have one in here. Lastly, I gave this 4 our of 5 stars because I love the all of the features, such a side variety, and the aesthetic, but the motor is a little loud, the baby soothing feature could be a little more customizable, and most annoyingly ... the setup could be wayyyyy easier. That ... or the directions could be much more clear. If you're putting this together, just really make sure that things are fasting appropriate directions. Otherwise, you may be rebuilding this over and over again like my BF was, which led to a very frustrated Dad. LOL!!! All in all, I really wish I had this swing from the beginning. I think our baby would have really enjoyed it as a newborn up till now. It has everything you would need. Now that I think about it though, it might need more inserts to accommodate a newborn, as sit is pretty big and deep, but regardless ... this is something that will save you headaches and time (besides putting it together time :) ).

As shown in the pic, the set up was easy to follow and took about 15 minutes to get it done. The design is sleek and modern looking. The grey and white color combination also goes well with everything. We tried it out multiple times with our 5 week old and he likes it so far. Infant insert was good help with his size and the belts gave a snug feeling. The swing helped comfort him when the cry was detected for a couple minutes, but then our baby was just hungry so had to take him out. Another time I was able to clean the whole bedroom while keeping an eye on him and knowing he’s safe. I would suggest that the toys be more interesting or have multiple options of changing such as having black/white contrast cards hanging during newborn phase, colorful after, adult faces to look at, etc. I also wish the toy hanging would rotate to give the baby some visual simulation. I was so excited to get this soothing swing as we also own the Graco pack and play and stroller and have had nothing but an excellent experience with the brand and its products. This is replacing a super old hand me down swing we had been using and what a difference! It's been a great addition to our routine, baby loves, and we get some extra hands-free time. Setup: 10 out of 10 - Everything was packaged so well and the instructions made it super easy to assemble. I was shocked! Start to finish I had it put together within 30 minutes while my baby napped. Pros: - Form factor: A huge space savor over what I had been using. Love how compact it is while still having a great variety of swing motions. - Comfort: Our baby seems to really like the cloth insert and harness. It's soft but not too soft where it would be a safety concern. I also really liked that you can adjust the angle of the swing seat depending on what the baby is responding to at that time. - Soothing Sounds: Was really impressed with all the options from classical music, white noise, and nature sounds. Cons/Opportunities: - Swing motions: Not really a con but some of the options seem fairly similar. It would be nice if it also went side to side in addition to front to back motions. The "rock" mode is by far our baby's favorite - Cry detection: This works ok. It seems to detect a cry and then randomly switch between rock modes, sounds, and vibrations to determine what the baby likes most. In my experience, once our baby was upset and started fussing, he was done with swing time regardless of which mode it cycled to. - Toy Mobile: This was ok but I think they could have done a little more with it. This swing is beautiful. The neutral colors fit well with any home decor, which is important to me especially for larger baby items. My favorite part is that the infant insert is made from organic cotton. My three-month-old baby looks comfortable and content in the swing and enjoys watching the cute toys hanging above her. I appreciate the ability to adjust the recline angle to ensure she’s supported depending on her mood. The various movements help soothe her, although a few of them are oddly loud and clunky. My first thoughts on the SmartSense Soothing Swing were ‘wow! I’m impressed with this design!’ This is such a cute, slim, modern looking swing. It doesn’t take up much space, and the color scheme is amazing. It fits in our kitchen and is easy to tuck away when we are not using it. My little one is on the bigger side (think 99th percentile…) and he still fits in the swing comfortably! He loves the little toys that hang above him, and is always cooing and talking to them while he rocks. He is a very movement oriented (constant swaying, rocking, or bouncing) type of kiddo.. so this swing has been a lifesaver in the sense of getting a little more hands-free time! The cry detector is awesome! I love that it switches through different sounds and motions to try to soothe. Sometimes my little guy just gets bored and needs some new movements or sounds. It’s especially helpful when I’m making dinner or washing dishes and my hands are not clean/dry enough to click the button and change the setting. One thing that I was not super impressed by is the size and placement of the buttons. Since the buttons are all on the bottom of the swing, it would be helpful if they were just a tad bigger so that when my hands are full or wet I could click the button with a foot! Having to bend down to turn the swing on and change the setting can be kind of tricky with a child in tow (I have two under two.. so chances are somebody is in my arms haha). To begin, this swing was easy to assemble with clear instructions, important when you have a newborn. My little one enjoyed the soothing sounds and motion. The cry detect feature worked well at detecting my babies cry and 9 out of 10 times would actually calm baby back down. The swing itself is stylish and sleek with nice neutral colors. I like its small footprint that doesn’t take up a ton of space like traditional baby swings. I loved that the insert is organic fabric as that is important to me and my sensitive babies skin. My baby always looked comfortable in this swing and enjoyed looking at the toy bar to keep them entertained. If for nothing else, the cry detect is hands down my favorite feature. It allows me to cook dinner every night with baby safe and happily in sight. I would highly recommend especially if you have a baby that is other wise hard to put down.

Thank you to Stellar for the perfect baby swing. Our little one loves this swing! I really like that it can go in multiple directions. It can go forward and back as well as side to side. You can also adjust the swing so the chair is laying down or more seated. The cry sensor is a game changer and works great! It was interesting to see how the swing cycled through all the different motions, sounds, and vibration settings until my daughter stopped crying. The only thing I noticed is that when my toddler was crying or being loud in the same room, it would start trying to soothe my baby, but she was already comfortable in the swing. I understand that it can’t tell the difference between crying, I was just shocked by how far away my toddler was and it still heard the crying and tried to soothe until the crying stopped! The swing seems to be very comfortable for my 3 week old with the infant inserts. She will watch the toys that are attached, occasionally, but mostly she will look around the room. I think the toys will be better for when my daughter can see farther away and has more arm/hand control. The swing was easy to build and I like the colors of the swing. Since it is light, neutral colors it can go with any color palette and look nice in any room. The design looks nice and what I expected for a baby swing. It has a more modern look to it than other swings, which I like a lot. Thanks to this swing, I’ve gotten more hands-free time and time to play with my toddler as we transition into a family of 4. I received this swing as being part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. I honestly didn’t know what to expect from this swing, but I am pleasantly surprised. The cry detection feature was probably what I was most skeptical about, but it actually works. I have a newborn and it literally activates every time she starts to cry. It uses the last setting that was used and begins to rock her. If I had any criticism at all, I would say that the rocking motion is a bit soft so when she’s really mad, it doesn’t do much good with soothing her. However, if she’s napping or just waking up, it does a great job rocking her back to sleep or calming her for a moment while I prepare her bottle. So grateful to have this and I truly wish I had something similar when my 2 year old was a baby. I think the advanced technology is a win overall, but this swing is definitely something that will come in handy with a new baby and when you’re sleep deprived.

I will say that it soothed our baby thus far which was a win but it took a louder cry for it to activate. My son took to the swing right away and looked very comfortable! He is only almost 2 months so he doesn’t care for the mobile as much yet but I love the SmartSense technology to help soothe him if he starts to whine while I’m folding laundry and can’t pick him up right away. It’s not as bulky as other swings which helps have it hidden in the corner of the room when not in use. Very quiet when in use as well which helps to not be disruptive when on phone calls! The buttons are user friendly and straightforward. I feel comfortable leaving my baby in this swing while I’m folding laundry or preparing dinner (or drinking coffee on the couch)! I would recommend this swing!

Not giving 5 stars because there's a clicking sound while it's being used. Otherwise, it's a nice swing. Aesthetically pleasing.

We call our SmartSense Soothing Swing the world's best and most underpaid nanny in the world. If you get this for someone's baby shower, you will be their favorite person forever. It will rock our baby to sleep within minutes. Our baby girl LOVES it and doesn't ever want to get out of it. Its soothing properties are unlike anything I have ever seen in the baby swing world. We love that it comes with three different chair settings and that it has a little mobile attached to it. The shipping was incredibly quick and it was super easy to put together--took less than 20 minutes. Although it was on the more expensive side of things, it is definitely worth your money. Look no further if you're in the market for a baby swing!

I love this product. This was the second swing I bought trying to get the right one for us. Most swings now days are too low to the ground for people with back issues. This one is a little higher. The new grandson loves it. I love the fact that the BabySense changes the swing settings when he starts to get fussy. It’s a very deep seat, unlike the other one we bought. I am VERY satisfied and would highly recommend it!

Had for a few months and one of the rocking modes now makes a loud metal banging noise. Low quality for such an expensive product. Definitely do not recommend.

Stopped swinging and it’s only been 4 months. Only used it a few times as my baby did not like it as a newborn for long periods. Revisited it now that my baby is older and it doesn’t work. My baby is not at the weight or age limit.

Got this as a gift for my baby shower in August, now that my little one is almost a month old I just opened it, turned it on once to check it out, then went to use it again with little one and it wouldn’t even turn it on! I have no warranty or receipt!!

Broke after 3 months. Great while it lasted. Received as a gift for our baby shower and we were initially very excited it worked like a charm to soothe our baby on days she was fussy. Now it is just dead weight.

after one use we noticed that it started making this weird clicking sound, but it was still swinging just fine. thereafter it started swinging improperly and it got stuck in the forward swing and we haven’t used it since due to the concern of the safely of my child. unfortunately, i didn’t get the warranty as i have purchased several Graco products over a decade and not once had an issue with them. so i thought, “why buy the warranty when you’ve never had any issues?” now im unable to get a replacement, and since we bought this product several months before my baby arrived, im also unable to return it since they had a 30 day return policy.

We received it as a baby shower gift. It was working great for the first couple of months. Now it makes noise and it sounds like it is missing some parts. I can’t use it anymore.

Got this a a baby shower gift from my dad. Baby girl loves it but it makes a lot of noise like metal rubbing against each other. Also squeaks when the humidity is high. I’m afraid it’s going to break soon with how much it rubs. Update: the swing has now stopped moving. Still turns on and sounds as if it’s swinging but doesn’t move. Very frustrated and disappointed. My baby loves this swing.

Baby shower gift. We got it on 3/14. It is 3/23 and apparently our 7lb newborn is too heavy or somehow broke the motor? It gets stuck after five or so swings on every swat Mode/speed

I received this swing from the Stellar Product Testing Panel and I was so excited!! My daughter wouldn’t let us put her down and I was hoping this would be the swing of my hands free dreams. Alas, it was not. It was super easy to put together, but was still annoying to have to put together with a newborn on hand. Once finally put together, I put my daughter in it, but she was not soothed. The cry detection feature really only vibrated the seat, and my daughter didn’t find it very comforting. I tried all the different settings but it just did some minor rocking and vibrating and music. There was no real swing rocking as I had anticipated. She did not find it soothing at all and still insisted on being held. I love the very modern aesthetic of this swing, but wish it delivered on every other front too.

First and foremost, thank you to Stellar product testing panel for the opportunity to try this amazing swing! The swing looks absolutely amazing and the comfort level was amazing for my son. He seemed to take a liking to the swing when it would work. At times the swing seemed to stop rocking or swaying. I read the directions and everything seemed fine. When the swing was in motion and my son would start kicking, it would stop rocking or swaying and take a while to continue if it did. At times it wouldn’t even start moving unless I gave it some help. I tried the cry detection and the function would work but the swing would move. As much as I was trying to make the swing work, it just didn’t seem to move when it was on at times. I wanted to make this swing work so much cuz my kid was liking it but if it wasn’t moving then he would get fussy.

I bought this back in February, and my son absolutely loves it. He takes his best naps in the SmartSense™ Soothing Swing — the gentle motion is perfect for him. I couldn’t be happier with my purchase. I even recommended it to a friend, and she’s had great things to say about it too, especially the soothing songs it provides. Highly recommend!

Best swing I’ve ever had for one of my babies & I have 4 kids! Everything about this swing is perfect!

I have had two of these swings already and they have both stopped working. The motor gets messed up and it quits working. I am very unpleased with this product. I have reached out numerous times trying to get them to refund and since I bought it throw Amazon it doesn’t matter. I give this swing a 0/10 do not buy it. It’s a waste of money

Great product for busy parents. A great baby swing for infants. Helps baby to get to sleep and stay asleep. Highly recommend.

I was hesitant to buy this due to the price and not knowing how much I would actually use it. Fast forward a couple days and it has already justified its price. My baby when all other needs are met, she is fed and changed, but is still inconsolable, I put her in this and within a few minutes it has found the right combo to soothe her and sometimes even put her to sleep. It has given me a sense of peace when I need to do some work around the house, knowing she is safe and content and that if she starts to fuss it will change modes/speeds/sounds to hopefully relax her back to being her happy self. The only con I have is the cover being a light color. I am always worried about her having a diaper blow out and if the fabric was a darker color it would make me feel better. But other than that it was an easy set up, and she seems to enjoy it! If you’re on the fence I highly recommend if you are needing some time back in your day to be baby free but still have peace of mind.

I received this as a gift for my baby shower. Assembly was fairly easy. Our baby loves the motion and sounds of the swing. About 2.5 months into using the swing daily, it began making a loud clicking noise and shifting up and down on the track. I contacted customer service and was initially impressed with their prompt responses, however, I am extremely disappointed in how the return/exchange is occurring. We are required to send the old swing back before a new one is sent. We will be without a swing while waiting for the new one. This is extremely inconvenient as this is the one spot he is comforted besides in someone’s arms. I am disappointed that a company with baby products is unwilling to accommodate families when their product malfunctions.

My newborn loves this swing. The swing isn’t completely quiet but my baby doesn’t mind the “swinging” noises it makes. All of the features works as stated. Hoping to get long term usage out of it in case we decide on a 4th child. Very happy with this purchase

I bought this swing 3 months ago. This swing is very beautiful and easy to assemble. I love the sensor for this swing when my baby cries it does every mode until my baby calms down. I love that it’s wired and not battery powered. The vibration is great it is felt through the whole swing unlike other swings where it vibrates at the feet. The songs are beautiful piano or nature. The only con I have is that it started to squeak when in motion. Customer service helped me fantastically they replaced the whole swing and had me return the squeaky swing as long as you provided proof of purchase, model number, a video of the issue/pictures. Other than that I love this swing and my baby loves this swing it definitely was worth the price and I would purchase it again.

I received this swing through the stellar product testing panel, and I was excited to see it in action. Unboxing it, the swing was easy to assemble, had a nice look to it, and had a smaller footprint than what I’m used to with another swing I currently own. I was a little disappointed with the mobile/toys hanging above the swing - seeing that the swing has technological upgrades, I expected more from the mobile - it just looks and feels a bit cheap, like a last second add on. My little one seemed comfortable when I put him in the swing, and I liked that it had 3 different recline settings. I like that it has numerous types of swing settings, vibration, and music/sounds; however, the swing took a few second to turn on once the power button is pushed, and the cry detect feature was hit or miss. There tends to be a lot going on in my house with a lot of noise, which seemed to affect the ability to detect crying. When it was quiet enough, the swing took too long to detect crying, and my little one was so worked up by that point that the swing didn’t help. It also stopped swinging completely when he was quiet, which resulted in crying. Overall, I didn’t love the cry detection feature and preferred the manual settings.
